It’s not inherently less hygienic to have a foreskin!!!
If you don’t clean your uncircumcised penis properly, it can smell/taste worse because the part you didn’t clean gets trapped underneath. The issue is not the foreskin, it’s men who don’t clean their dicks. Just clean your dick.
this is like saying “well if you clean a hard surface badly it isn’t as gross as if you clean a soft surface badly”. It’s not the surface’s fault, it’s yours.
I'm not sure how they knew thousands of years ago but evidently a baby's clotting factors are at their highest levels on the 8th day after birth.

By your own words, having a foreskin creates the possibility of presenting a foul taste/smell, which can be perceived as less hygienic by the intimate partners making the discovery.
I do not speak to the intentions of this occurring, just the risk of it.
You started this discussion topic and immediately in your first post hard lined that such reality is a 'myth' in your opinion and yet then share your own experience that suggests otherwise.
In your rush to play “gotcha” you keep missing her very clear point: having foreskin can require more cleaning because it can create the possibility of bacteria leading to a smell or taste. So it requires simple cleaning…. But so does circumcised! Basic hygiene eliminates the issue without the used of sharp objects.
Here’s an analogy: hair retains scent. If you shave your balls you therefore won’t retain smell as much as someone who has a big bush (any gender). So is hair inherently bad or unhygienic? No! Just make sure you wash the hair properly to avoid that.
Same for hair on your head versus bald, beard or moustache versus clean shaven, armpits etc…
ExpCharlee is making the simple point of regardless of what you have but perhaps more critical for uncircumcised, is to maintain good hygiene.

I’m circumcised, happy with what I have and my partners have liked the way it looks and feels. Tho I don’t know any better, I can’t say that I have issues with a lack of sensitivity (any more sensitive and I’d have issues lasting more than a few min!) and I enjoy sex more than pretty much anything else.
Having said that, I dont think there are strong arguments to routinely circumcise boys as babies. Tho I obviously have no memory of it, it strikes me as a bit of a cruel/ barbaric practice, which must be at least temporarily very painful, with little to no compelling benefit. It is becoming less common, so the argument that he will look weird compared to others is moot.

Simply based on the people with medical issues and the well know potential for hygiene issues, it's pretty clear why it was a consideration in the past. With modern medicine and hygiene practices, probably not needed for most people.
Just my experiences but I never felt at a loss for being without a turtleneck.
