I just hope it’s not a concussion problem like when he was kicked by Perry. He was hit really hard a couple of times in Vancouver.
That NJD team is fast. They are like the Leafs when they had Kapanen, Johnson, and Mikheyev. But will NJD speed be naturalized in the playoffs by heavy tight-checking teams?
Johnsson was waived early in the season and went unclaimed and Kapanen was waived prior to the trade deadline.

Set up the revenge game vs Oilers on Sat. Keefe needs not to remind them how they were outclassed and embarrassed by McJesus. The Leafs should get Wed off and 2 days to practice.

I'm glad they were able to dig deep and pull out the comeback win, and you have to hand it to Nylander - the pass through the legs to AM34 for the winning goal was a thing of beauty. Marner's goal was a bit of short handed luck but he did finish, so all credit to him for that. That said, until about the 8min mark of the 3rd the Leafs were getting beat by NJD's third line. That is cause for concern at this late date.
Let's see Matthews fight McDavid. Might happen. Maybe there will be an Own Goal or a Goalie fight. It's put up or shut up time for Toronto, time for them to stop being so revealing about injuries, just treat this as playoff time, every game is Must win. I wanna see Samsanov try a shot down the ice and see if he scores, like Hextall did twice
I hate that the Leafs moved Sandin, I really liked this kid's game and he has a high hockey IQ. Unlike Reilly who is constantly caught out of position.
The moves Dubas made I can understand but I don't think that they will do enough to get the Leafs beyond round 2. The East is just too tough.

I agree, plus they have only made the play-offs once in ten years.
They could steal a round as a young team, however if they face the Rangers that will be a helluva series to watch.
I'd agree. It was fun to see Sandin pick up 5 points in just his first 2 games with Washington.
The Hockey News wrote on the weekend that "the Capitols betting on Sandin may wind up being the deal of the deadline."
It'll be interesting to see where he's at when he reaches his prime in 3 or 4 years; he'll have a chance to develop on a team that's retooling now.
Trading Matthews would be like trading Gretzky.
