“Following numerous threats to Oakville Trafalgar High School, we echo the statement made last week by Education Minister Stephen Lecce, the HDSB has abdicated its responsibility by failing to put the interests and safety of students first.”
KB that's not it all all. The HDSB is supposed to come out with a report tomorrow (March 1st), re next steps, in the Busty Lemieux fiasco. However, the HDSB is going to ask for yet, another delay!“Following numerous threats to Oakville Trafalgar High School, we echo the statement made last week by Education Minister Stephen Lecce, the HDSB has abdicated its responsibility by failing to put the interests and safety of students first.”
Wow…so these 3 Conservative MPP‘s are literally aligning themselves with people who make bomb threats. I know you believe in that kinda thing, Mitch, but frankly I find this frightening. They are letting the board know that the bomb threats are justified and that if they don’t do as they are told there will be more of them. Trudeau’s concerns about the Conservatives’ aligning themselves with Far Right terror groups are well founded.
Everyone should have issues with sick pedosYou really should see someone to talk about your issues
Yes…I understand that and I understand the community’s frustration with the school board. But people still cannot run around making bomb threats over it- now we are talking about an entirely different and far more serious problem than Bustly Lemieux’s Size Z fake boobs.KB that's not it all all. He doesn’t have the power to do that. If he did he would have already done so.My prediction is that Lecce is going to fire, the three heads of the HDSB. Curtis Ennis, Sari Taha, and Margo Shuttleworth.
There's going to be so much public pressure, that these three leaders of the HDSB, are going to be forced to resign. IMHO, these three leaders of the HDSB, have handled things very poorly with regards to Busty Lemieux. They'll get severance, but Lecce is going to show them the door.He doesn’t have the power to do that. If he did he would have already done so.
The HDSB is an elected local body; the Minister can’t just fire them. They have to be voted out at the next election (whenever that is). That’s why he is signing off on a letter aligning himself with domestic terrorists making bomb threats.

We’ll see what happens. These board members seem to be digging in their heals pretty hard, though. I assume that there must be other less vocal people who are supporting them; there’s no way they are doing this on their own? There's going to be so much public pressure, that these three leaders of the HDSB, are going to be forced to resign. All I know is that this has been going on for over 6 months. The HDSB has done nothing. Howard Levitt gave the HDSB free advice in a National post column. Of course, the HDSB, ignored Levitt's advice. This NP column was posted upthread.Same thing as before.
Do you know whether there has been some sort of formal vote mandating that the Board revise their policy? Or are the people complaining about this a small but loud/aggressive group that have been over-running board meetings?
Yes, the board meeting is tomorrow. As you said, we'll see what happens??We’ll see what happens. These board members seem to be digging in their heals pretty hard, though. I assume that there must be other less vocal people who are supporting them; there’s no way they are doing this on their own?
