I'd argue that he's a really horrid public speaker except that he kept at it and learned to repeat the lines that people cheered for.I would argue that Trump did a really good job of the "worked shoot" style of cutting a promo.
You could also just argue that he knew how to cut a promo and make it entertaining, while the others were bad on the mic.
The fact he always used the same catch phrases and call and response argues against him even trying to make it a shoot or even pretend it was a worked shoot, he just knew how to cut a promo and they didn't.
Being good on the stick is an art form, not just in wrestling.
He can't pace a speech, build to a conclusion or even do anything but keep yelling at the same clouds (Hillary, 2016, immigrants, the big lie...) over and over.
I think if any of his base actually were allowed to have a conversation with them they'd realize he's the moron at the party that just drones on and on about himself and that time he lost the election.
