Elite players find a way to win even when less than 100%. Mahomes is elite. And damn Chris Jones was on a mission. The Bengals offensive line got crushed last night. That was the difference in the game.
On another note I thought that the officiating was substandard. These guys doing the playoffs are supposed to the cream of the officiating crop. Could have fooled me.
Yes, the officiating was below the level it should have been. Many crucial and questionable calls were whistled against Cincy.

Spags schemed to get Jones one on one throughout the game against Cincy's 3, not 2, nor 1, but 3 2nd string linemen, hence "Don't disrespect Arrowhead, EVER!" Jonesy came away looking like Godzilla.

I disagree that the 60% , 2nd string Cincy O-line's performance was the difference in the game. The difference in the game was the 29 yd return allowed by Cincy preceding the game winning drive and field goal and the absolute boneheaded out of bounds tackle on Mahomes that moved KC's field goal 15 yards closer.

Mahomes outperformed Burrow by a country mile on a gimpy right leg. Burrow threw 2 costly interceptions. Mahomes threw 2 incredible touchdowns, one on 4th and 1 and the other threaded the needle. Crowning Burrow best QB in the NFL, as many did, was premature

Great SB storyline. Donna Kelce, mom of Eagles OL Jason Kelce and Chiefs TE Travis Kelce: “It's like you won the lottery,” she gushed. “To get from middle school football to high school to college, to get to the pros — and actually to play, to be playing for this many years, to get Super Bowls and then to play against each other? I mean, what are the odds of that? It's just got to be astronomical. We should have been playing the lottery.”

What are the odds of raising 2 elite pro football players

Anybody else watching this nonsense on NFL Countdown? Talking about how there aren't more black quarterbacks in the big game because of systemic racism. The big storyline shouldn't be that for the first time ever two black quarterbacks are facing each other in the SB. Why not instead talk about each team's journey there and what it will mean to win. Oh and btw Patrick Mahomes is technically mixed race and not black.
Now onto what counts. Super Bowl picks, who you got?
I'm taking the Eagles -1.5 and the the under 50.5. But I'm cheering for the Chiefs, I just can't support Philly sports teams in any sport. Like NY, LA and Chi-Town.

I went back and forth on this one. In the end I got K.C plus 2.5 and the over. Mahomes on 2 weeks rest was the swing factor for me. Hurts hasn't really been himself since he hurt his shoulder. Philly's vaunted ''D'' hasn't seen a QB and an offense as good as K.C. possesses. Or that's what I'm hoping. I know Philly has that great ''o'' line and their protection is solid though.

The''X'' factor is that Mahomes has been there before and has time after time proven to be exemplary. Chiefs might not be the better team but I feel they have the best player.....

KC's offense is a bit one dimensional. Just stop Travis Kelce. I know, I know that is easier said than done. The Chiefs receivers, who aren't that good, will be shut down by the Eagles secondary. And I don't see their running game performing that well, although Jerrick McKinnon is a bit of an X factor.
I get what you're saying about Hurts and he's never seen a game this big before. But the weapons that he has at his disposal are far more deep than Mahomes. And he's got a better O line.
I think overall the game could be close but as much as it pains me to say it, everything is pointing to an Eagles win for me.

I've been hot on SGP's at DK lately so I'm sticking with it riding the streak:
1) KC over 1.5 TD's, PHI over 1.5 TD's , Over 40.5 , Kelce TD , Sanders TD and KC + 11.5
2) KC over 1.5 TD's, PHI over 1.5 TD's, Over 40.5 , Kelce TD , Sanders TD and PHI + 7.5. I know parlays are a Fool's Game. WTH, last game of the year. . .

The only questionable thing in there for me is a Sanders TD.

I took the Eagles.

I think they are a more balanced team and more consistent. They can beat you from either side of the ball. Aside from the conference final, they kept covering every time I bet against them.

Who's more injured Mahomes or Hurts?

Both you and Kirk have solid arguments. I am going with the Eagles as they appear to be better at most positions.

I agree, the Eagles should win. The problem is anything can happen in one game scenario, fumbles, injuries and stupid penalties.

I see the Eagles controlling the game with their ground game, but failing to score enough TD's and settling for FG's. Then Mahomes leads the Chiefs to a couple of late TD drives and steals the game.
Chiefs 38 Eagles 27 - Jalens Hurts struggles in the passing game is the biggest difference.

Wow BS call there at the end on Philly. But man I give it to the Chiefs and their coaching staff.

Eagles couldn't stop them in the second half. Mahomes is phenomenal.

And what's with that field being so slick? Players were having problems all game.

Made some decent coin off the game so I'm grateful. Pretty anti-climatic at the end though with the playing off of the clock.

I hate to see a game decided on a weak call.

However KC figured out how to beat the Philly D, so it was not a cheap win. They earned it.

All in all, a pretty good game.
