If you actually thought his reframe was sincere, then really anything that teaches anything to children is "grooming".
If anything involves any values or concepts, then it is "grooming".
But the point, of course, is to conflate "any teaching of children" with "sexual abuse of children" and then have that muddled in people's minds so that anything someone dislikes ("you're teaching them values I don't want them taught") can be called "grooming" with all those nastier implications.
They chose "grooming" specifically so that it hits that "this is a sexual danger to your child". If they didn't want that extra kick, they would have stuck with "indoctrination".

But, let's think for a few seconds. Do you really think learning about LGBTQ stuff will make a straight kid gay? I know many gay people, and the opposite never happened. I understand that the righties on this board (and apparently in this country) get all their outrage ideas from the US, like Fox or Breitbart....But we're in Canada. Our constitution forbids discrimination based on sexual orientation. They might be allowed to do that down there. So, while there will be the occasional controversy like this teacher, gays and trans people are here to stay. Children learning about healthy sexuality is not a bad thing either. It has been shown to prevent teen pregnancies, the spread of STIs, and even helps children understand things like what sex abuse is (and how to respond to it).
Finally, for all the talk about teachers or gays being groomers...I can almost guarantee that more grooming happens in churches/mosques/temples with "trusted" authorities like priests/Rabbis/Imans...
But the discussion is about this teacher, school counselors and sex education agendas, not the Catholic church.

My buddy's daughter, 10 at the time, thought she was gay. I said why do you think that? "I dunno. I like to be around my friends (girls) and I don't find boys interesting, just annoying. And we were talking about LGBTQ in class today. So I think I'm gay"
"Hmm" I say. "So when your with your friends. Do you get a feeling like your heart is beating faster, younger a funny feeling in your tummy, you get all nervous or you want to touch them like big them and maybe kiss them and stuff?". "Noooo. I just like them". " It's because you're good friends. That's normal. But to say you're gay and have emotional feelings and maybe love them. You're not emotionally mature enough to say that it feel like it might be real. Did the LGBTQ talk influence you in to feeling this way?" Knowing full well it did from her opening statement. "Maybe" " would you have felt this way if that subject never came up?" "Probably not?".
Two years later, I asked if she felt she was still gay. "Nah. I'm dating a boy. Even though most boys are jerks, this one's nice".
Take that story for what you will. My buddy's daughter thinks of me as an uncle/family member. We have great discussions and he appreciates me being open with her as it's helped his relationship with her.

Nope. I have a lot of friends who are gay and they respect I don't play on their team.
If I don't like it, I stay out of their way. But if they're doing something that affects me or my family, then I sure as shit say something.
For this "Teacher", he affects my friends children and I'm close enough that it affects me. Also, this attention seeking mentally deranged man is mocking the entire school system and enjoyed his time in the limelight. Now it's time for him to go away.
