Personally, "I don't see colour", in the sense that I see every person as an individual, rather than as a subset of a group. If I like or dislike someone, it's based on my own past experience with THAT person.

I find the notion of making generalizations about a specific individual based on perceived beliefs about others deemed to be similar to be an absurd concept, and perhaps that's the way I personally define Racism. I don't self-identify as a part of any group, and I resent when someone else arbitrarily lumps me together with some collection of individuals. I am not my brother's keeper.

You miss the point. I am quite sure that you keep a close count of whether the characters in commercials are black and white and who are higher-status. It's just that....... no one else bothers to do that.

Because it's petty, pointless and trivial.

Actually Oracle probably keeps track as well. You can compare notes.
A few years ago my boss handed me a questionnaire the company got from one of the government agencies (Statistic Canada?, Census Canada?, "Big Brother", whoever) and told me to complete it. Here below are some of the questions:
1) Number of employees
2) Gender
3) Ethnicity
4) 1st language
5) Average size employee dicks (just kidding!)
6) A bunch of similar type questions

So, somebody is watching us and keeping track/tabs.

Let's think about this...

Who are the World leaders over here?

Who are the captains of industry?

Who are the bankers?

Who controls the central banks?

Who are the executives at the credit card companies?

The Wall Street moguls?
Maybe thats something we are just really good at.

How many white guys do you see in the NBA?? Not many.
Most are African-Americans. Why, because they're really good at it.

How many olympic 100M white sprinters do you see?? Some, but not many.
The guys winning most of the medals are black guys

Are there going to similar quotas (as there are in the business and academic worlds) in the olympics and nba so there is an equal chance for whites, asians, hispanics etc. to win ?

There are other sports where Whites and Asians excel.
Swimming
Gymnastics
Cycling
Skating

However, you do make a valid point about affirmative action in business and academia.

Sometime after your lifetime and mine, all professional team sports might be required to have an openly gay player on the active roster. While each of the designated non-binaries might not necessarily see a significant amount of game time action, they could be instrumental in come-from-behind victories.

Ouch.
