He was left to his own devices if law enforcement wouldn't get rid of her. It's mean but it's frustrating as hell.

Free education. Free healthcare. Abolish private school.

Do that and in 10 years or so the problem will have disappear. It will put the USA on the Finland model.

Currently the US is on a Honduras path.
This is what "free" end stage social care programs in Canada look like.

1. Have you seen the state of American cities lately? We have problems in Canada but our social net makes us far better then in the US.
2. Like majority of Canadian, I have no problem with euthanasia. If I lose all quality of life due to mental illness or physical disability, and especially if I am a burden for my family, I am probably first one that would seriously think about assisted euthanasia to end my life.

This interview played fast and loose the the MAID rules in Canada. Difficult to watch considering how dishonest the conversation was in fact.

How about building affordable housing for a start.
That's what they also do in Europe. Since no private company want's to build them government has to partner with private company. A colleague of mine bought a 2 bedroom unit in the Nertherland.
He cannot resell it unless he obtains a formal approval from the govermnent and those are hard to obtain.

How does that explain Canada? Free healthcare, free education, interest free loans and subsidized university education. Incentives to work in the trades. No wars to drain our youth and wealth.

We are a pedestrian nation, with corrupt management and our only vision is to placate the masses with more free stuff.

Education should be attainable for all. Perhaps “Free” isn’t really the right answer. I don’t think we need to provide a university degree in ancient Egyptian languages for free. However pre apprentice programs that make students desirable to employ seems worthy. Doctors and medical school that retains graduates in Canada would be worthy and maintaining high grades is the cost…. Providing things for free must benefit society and require some effort by the recipients to maintain value.

It's over immigration and overpopulation to the major centers. You can have immigration if you badly going to Toronto and Vancouver. But who wants to live anywhere else? Plus we have a freedom based system and Rules are hard to follow.

Even I CBC reporter or the good pay was homeless. The article seems Erased

University is not supposed to be for jobs. It should be free but only after somebody has worked Another fields for quite a while With exception A medicine and Engineering which be free you Those who are getting the skill Under condition they work 10 years in Canada. In fact I would stop the education Halfway and make the Halfway and make them Work as a support workers to those feilds . Graduation would only happen after many years of work

This incident has gone viral but the homeless person had been there for 2 weeks and authorities had done nothing.

I don't want to sound like a brute, but this is rather funny... And more or less harmless...

Much better than my own proposal to deal with homelessness which I will not share for fear of a major Terb out cry 😲

A society that does not take care of it's elderly and poor is doomed to fail.

At some point the poor will be tired to be poor and will cut head.

The man who hosed down this woman is scum. I understand the frustration he might have felt, but to dehumanize someone like this is just...well, it's pretty fucked up. I don't pretend to be an expert on the solutions to these problems, but we, as a society, must try something different....because what we'e been doing hasn't been working.

Now, one of the issues with SF and maybe many parts of California, is that there is an incredible amount of NIMBYism. And, I'm not even talking about people being concerned with affordable housing or shelters, it's for everything from luxury condos to townhouses. Its a major issue, where a few sticky wheels can delay or kill any planned projects...which exacerbate the housing issues in the area...
