Whack-a-mole touchdown celebration by Cowboys on Thursday against Giants was hilarious. Not too long ago, this type of celebration would have drawn unsportsmanlike conduct penalty lol. The game drew 42 million viewers!
I was never a fan of goofy, look at me TD celebrations, but this 1 was pretty good.

The 49ers lost yet another starting QB to season ending injury when Jimmy Garoppolo broke his foot early in the first quarter. Enter Brock Purdy, who was "Mr. Irrelevant" in the 2022 NFL draft as the Niners used the 262nd and final pick on him. BP engineers a blow out win over the Dolphins. Great story. But his reward is to face the GOAT next week.

Baker Mayfield being released today from the Panthers. Will he end up in San Fran?

Please detail how this BP "engineers" the blow out of the Dolphins?

Good question. Not an answer, just a comment. Miami was within a TD in the 4th quarter. Frisco's D won the game for them in the final 5-8 minutes.

QB Baker Mayfield was claimed off waivers by the Rams just this past Tuesday. Leads a 98 yard TD drive with less than 2 minutes remaining to overcome the Raiders 17-16 on TNF. Incredible 👋 👋👋

That's the kind of play you would expect from Baker. Guy was throwing darts, quite often under big pressure.

He won the Heisman. Selected first overall in 2018 draft by the Browns. And they got rid of him that quickly??? And the Panthers also got rid of him that quickly??? Its not like he was Vince Young who couldnt throw

Brock Purdy continues to rock and roll. Blew out the Bucs last week 35-7 causing Brady not to shower after the game lol. And yesterday snuffed the Seahawks at the Hawks Nest 21-13. His dad was in tears last week in the stands. Emotional. Great story. Neither Trey Lance or Jimmy Garoppolo getting job back when healthy. Another Joe Montana-type story. We shall see.

49ers have won 7 straight and clinched NFC West with 3 matches left.

The Browns have made multiple bone head moves, one NOT being was getting rid of Baker too quickly.

Baker has had plenty of time to showcase his franchise leading talent and the verdict is in.

That's funny, I don't see and "I" in Brock Purdy's name, nor in his character.

Brock did not blow out the Bucs nor lead to Brady not showering after Brock's blowout of the Bucs.

Brock did not snuff out the Seahawks.

2 wins over 2 not very good teams playing the position of QB of a very strong and dominant 21 man starting lineup, not including himself, does not mean he's locked up the positon, let alone being the next Joe Montana.

I will say this though about Brock. He has demonstrated leadership qualities, positional knowledge and on field awareness, above and beyond a typical 3rd and/or 2nd string QB. Does he have the arm and physical attributes to take him to the next level? Maybe so, but we haven't seen what happens when he is under pressure facing a strong opponent.

My feeling is that he does have the ability to lead a team. Being the QB on a very good team, yes, but being the QB on a not so good team, is where his limitations will be exposed.

Playoffs are where QB's should be judged. The playoffs are a whole new ball game.
Time will tell.

I think the problem is that the guy may be a head case.

There is nothing funny here. 223 players were selected ahead of BP in the 2022 draft, which is being classified as rubbish. Written off because he doesnt have arm like Dan Marino and cant run like Lamar Jackson. Just like Joe Montana and Tom Brady were written off for lacking physical qualities. Early days yet, but I see JM and TB type cerebral qualities. Did you see his double pump fake and a dart for a touchdown last night? Amazing stuff.

This was the first time in his illustrious career Brady has lost to a rookie QB and is the reason he didnt shower after the game. He felt ashamed lol.

You call the Bucs a not very good team? Please upgrade your knowledge of football because the Bucs have a tough defense and yet couldnt lay a finger on BP. He obliterated that defense. The Hawks Nest ,the loudest stadium in the NFL, has been the doom of many a seasoned QB. And yet a so-called Mr. Irrelevant silenced the crowd with his poise and stellar play. He snuffed out the Seahawks indeed.

Now you call the 49ers dominant. Did you call them dominant when they were 3-4???

Brady's Bucs lost because of a dominant Niners defence.

Geno Smith's Hawks lost because of a dominant Niners defence.

You didnt watch either game. Obviously. BP didnt lay a ball wrong in either game. This is a team that was 3-4 at one point with Jimmy Garoppolo at the helm. Does that qualify as dominance???

Some players lift up all those around them making the team greater than the sum of its parts. That's what BP is doing. Take it or leave it. Goodbye

There's a reason why the Browns have been a hapless franchise for years. Only one winning season in the past decade

Matt Ryan was the Falcons QB when they blew the largest lead in SB history 28-3 and lost to the Pats in OT. The same Matt Ryan was the QB today when the Colts blew the largest lead in NFL history. They led 33-0 at halftime, scored just 3 points in the second half as the Vikes scored 36 to tie and win in OT. Coincidence? Of course not. It's a team game for sure. But a QB who cant make just one critical play to seal two big leads is a loser. Plain and simple. Oh, the Falcons also blew two 4th quarter 15 point leads in 2020 with Matt Ryan as QB.

Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr has been benched by the team. He was demoted all the way to the sideline and is now stepping away from the team for the rest of the season. His brother David Carr, selected first by the Houston Texans in the 2002 draft, was considered a bust. David tried to mentor his brother to avoid the fate that befell him. Looks like it didnt work. Derek would have been paid $32 million if he was still on the team February 2023. It wont happen
