If you look back to the origional Flu Pandemic yes things like mask mandates and local lockdowns occured. Then eventually herd immunity happened(after about 50 million deaths) and leveled off after vaccines came into play to immune compromised people.
So yes it was taken seriously. UNTIL VACCINES CAME IN. THEN AS LONG AS THERE AREN'T TOO MANY DUMBASSES its not a big problem.
Same with Covid. Getting better vaccines out faster caused many less deaths, and less per capita as well as in total.

Those are all lies. The last thing Canada needs is more immigration. Population increase contributes to higher rates of poverty, more crime, more pollution, and lower quality of life. I would think you would understand that after average rents in Toronto for a 3 1/2 is over $2200. Demographic decline is a good thing. Trudeau does not want that because the more immigrants come, the more votes he gets and the more money big business and landlords make.
The Nordic states manage with a welfare state because first they do not have a mass immigration policy like in Canada and they are not sending millions of taxpayers money to foreign countries. In response to another poster who believes the lies the media says on how Canada needs more immigration, he is wrong. Nordic countries successfully maintained a welfare state by keeping the population small.
As for income tax, what I have to say is taxation is theft. No one is better at spending your money then you. Government track record is poor and they waste it anyways. Taking money by force is the definition of theft. I say the income tax act should be abolished. At the minimum the fairtax act should be brought in instead but no more. Make government as small as possible and reduce the bureaucrats, way too many.
