Tis the season to be jolly, falalalala, lalala.

Tis the regular season and the Leafs are playing like champs, just as they had done so in seasons past. They‘ve proven beyond reasonable doubt that they’re built for the regular season, by their GM.

So if they were hovering around .500 that would be better?

Like after the first 10 games where everyone was up in arms complaining and wanting everyone traded and fired.
Someone even ressurected their 2019 will the Leafs make the playoffs thread.
Leafs during the Matthews era has always been a high flying offensive team with a middling GAA.
They've changed their style this year. They're now a very good defensive team with a middling offense.
Turnovers have always killed them. They've reduced that by playing a more controlled game.
More dump it in deep and pressure to retrieve. This most likely the style they want to play in this years playoffs.
It probably took them 10 games to adjust and play this style effectively.

Leafs have now jumped Jersey and are second in GAA behind only Boston.

As was the case in each of the past four seasons, I‘m enjoying this ride just as much and there are times when the Leafs are playing great, the dumb leaf fan in me would start to believe that this might be the year. Fortunately there’s also a sensible side of me that guards me from getting my hopes too high only to be let down again later.

In my last post I tried not to shatter some glass hearts by not mentioning “playoffs” but somehow mere mention of “regular season” in Leafs’ recent good showing would result in getting a dumb question like this.

Leafs have a few streaks going, Marner 23 games with a point, Samsonov shutout streak, and the team have 15 games with at least a point.

Samsonov may be the better of the two goalies between him and Murray.
His stats are second only to Ullmark in both GAA and Save Perentage of all goalies who have played at least 10 games.
When Murray was injured Kallgren was losing most his games while Samsonov was winning most of his

Overtime record this season:
Boston 6 games 5 wins
Leafs 8 games 6 losses.

Regulation losses:
Boston 4
Leafs 5
All other teams have 6 or more

Ullmark has 17 wins and only 1 loss this season and that loss was to Toronto with Samsonov getting the win.
Samsonov has now jumped ahead of Ullmark in both GAA and Save Percentage.

Lol it just regular season, and it still too early, it after the all star break that teams get more serious of winning and making the push for the playoffs.

Lol 😆 🤣 😂 don't get too excited leafs fans yet lol

Both goals by the Rangers so far seem to be typical goals for Murray. This guy seems to be pretty weak positionally.

On the first, he was wildly out of position and left a gaping net as he vainly tried to scramble back. I think he's had a bunch of those this year. Waaay out of position.

The 2nd was not as egregious but it was similar. He moved off the post prematurely allowing Vessey (sp?) to score. He was out of position again. I think if opposing teams keep moving the puck laterally, he will be suckered into a bad move most times. It's like he has trouble reading plays.

What an original post by you. I think that's about 10 times this year where all you have is mocking the Leafs and their fans, but you never, ever are capable of analysing a game or a particular play or what aspect of their game play is deficient.

Your posts, without some anaysis, are useless wastes of bandwidth.

And why does that mean that you never have anything of substance to contribute? No imagination, not content.

Actually, you're on a longer losing streak than the the Leafs. You've done nothing positive ever in terms of discussion.
