Stax was indeed important to the development of black music.Jim Stewart the co founder of Stax Records died Monday Dec 5..he was 92..............Stax records was founded in Memphis in the early 60,s and produced some of the greatest music in Pop Soul and R&B history...as a young kid i discovered 60,s Soul and the Stax sound was part of that discovery....RIP Jim and thanks for helping Black music become part of the mainstream.....the song i posted above was one of the Stax tunes i purchased,,,,and i still have that single...among many others
