Canada
Stephen Eustaquio has been getting more playing time with FC Porto, he scored 2 goals in Champions League. Canada actually has a star centre mid-fielder.

They must be desperate for players.

World Cup 2022: Midfielder Mario Gotze returns to Germany squad for first time in five years

Midfielder Mario Gotze has been named in Germany's World Cup squad after a five-year absence.

Eintracht Frankfurt's Goetze, 30, who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup final, has not played for Germany since a friendly against France in November 2017.

Bayern Munich teammates Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller will be playing in their fourth World Cup.

Youssoufa Moukoko, Borussia Dortmund's 17-year-old striker, is also included.

Moukoko and Werder Bremen's Niclas Fullkrug, who has scored 10 goals in 13 Bundesliga games this season, have both been called up for the first time.

Defender Mats Hummel, who played at the last two tournaments, has been left out by manager Hansi Flick, while Dortmund captain Marco Reus misses out on another World Cup with an ankle injury.

RB Leipzig's Timo Werner, formerly of Chelsea, is also out after suffering an ankle injury earlier this month that will keep him out until 2023.

Manchester City's Ilkay Gundogan and Chelsea forward Kai Havertz are included in the squad, along with West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer and Southampton centre-back Armel Bella-Kotchap.

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter now says awarding WC 2022 to Qatar was a mistake lol
Is he willing to give back all the money he got? Or as Bill Burr would say "give back his Yacht?" Otherwise he is just full of shit.

England did a show to announce their WC roster that lastest 3 hours.
England already missing two key wing backs in Reece James and Ben Chilwell, an injured Kyle Walker and now they Southgate picks Harry Maguire ahead of Fikayo Tomori and Marc Guehi has me scratching my head. Southgate is a shit coach that has held the England squad back in the last two major tournaments.
I think we could potentially see a darkhorse/under dog go real deep in this WC. Switzerland is one team folks need to watch out for.

If England fails they will be looking at Herdman.

ESPN Frank Leboeuf's predictions will shock you. Install seatbelts on your chairs.

I favour Japan over Costa Rica and I think Serbia too. Brazil will have a tough time against the Serbs and Swiss, based on the squad they are taking.

Harry Maguire is a defensive colossus, why is he so maligned? Tomori looked shaky when Calabria got injured, he's looking better now with Nicolas Cage improving.

Tomori's interview with Camila Gonzalez of TLN, he should have played for Canada.

Maguire has been a colossal failure at United.

Tomori's form last season and so far this season is miles ahead of Maguire. Oh well! we all know Southgate is a fucking dunce and will be the main reason England fails, again at another major tourney.

I agree that Maguire is a liability. Even the Man Utd fans are not that keen on him being in the starting lineup of their club. But in the past he was quite an inspiration for their team.
Canada has the best side it has ever produced. Should be able to give Belgium a scare or two in their opening fixture.

But guys who will be watching the games on IPTV. This article should be of interest:

Shouldn't you be picking based on current form? Even his recent form for the national team has been bad. I'd be shocked if England made it past the quarters.

I agree. But somehow Gareth seems to be fixated with Maguire. Will not be surprised if he starts all the games. All depends on England's form and how Gareth gets them to gel during the Group stages. Doubt England have a chance of winning the World Cup.

John Herdman may not want the job, English players make too much money, they put their clubs ahead of their country. The clearest indication of that is the number of front line strikers who refused to take a penalty against Donnarumma. Southgate didn't call up Ademola Lookman either, he's scored 7 goals for Atalanta so far.

Fikayo Tomori has learned to live without Davide Calabria. He made two key stops to save AcMilan from going down to defeat against Fiorentina. The first one was VAR reviewed, it would have been harsh if the penalty was given. The second was a goal line header with Tatarusanu out of position. Still Harry Maguire deserves his place, he's making almost twice as much as Tomori.
