Jays have 35 million bucks tied up in front line pitching for next year that's looking pretty bad right now.

Berrious 15 million
Ryu 20 million
Kikuchi 10 millon
:(
Get rid of all 3 and cut your fkn losses. Bring someone up from the minors - they would do so much better.

Jays will lose the first WC spot, maybe it's best for Jay's to have 3rd WC, cuz they ain't gonna beat TB at the Trop.

They have better chance of beating Guardians in Cleveland.

Ryu will be rehabbing most of the year and may call it quits, so that gets picked up by insurance.

Jose will most likely bounce back. He changed the way he prepares for the season. Clearly that didn't work so time to switch back.

Kikuchi I suspect will still have more Ks in his name than on the stat sheet. I am with Virgin so I don't have to wprry about my fees increasing to cover his contract.

It's not just the starters. The bullpen is also struggling right now. Pitching depth is the biggest hole in the Jays lineup.

In case anyone was wondering how the playoffs work this year.

The Jays show fortitude, they could have taken this series, Pete Walker has work to do with Barrios. They finally light up McClanahan, he's been a nemesis.

I wonder who showers Teoscar with rose petals when he hits a dinger?

Boy did the Seattle Mariners do the Jays a big favour today. Up 11-2 to the lousy Kansas City Royals, they proceeded to blow that huge lead and lost 13-12. If they had won they would be 1 1/2 games behind Jays, with by far the easiest schedule remaining of the 3 Wild Card teams. Instead, they are 2 1/2 behind and Jays are in the driver’s seat to take the top Wild Card spot and host all 3 (if necessary) games in the series.

If Jays expect to get far , Vladdy Jr has got to improve, he's looking totally lost at the plate the last few games.

Berrios will be better. The $30M on Ryu and Kuch is what we accountants refer to as a sunk cost.

The Jays did well to win against the Yankees with Gausman starting. The two weakest starters in the rotation close out the series. Hoping for the old Berrios to show up.

Yes Kikuchi and Ryu have been worse but that is a very low bar. Berrios has been too unpredictable to be reliable this year. If he doesn't turn it around, he will see very little action in post season if Jays get there which is likely.
