Turns out there was classified materials requiring immediate return. He did not.
When he eventually returned the materials, turned out he didn't return all of it.
Thus I don't care if you're Jesus Christ I get a subpoena/warrant and take it from you.
If he was half the American he claims he is he would have immediately returned it all - then requested whatever personal items.there is nothing to negotiate. Open and shut.

FBI cannot publicly show the search warrant signed by a federal judge due to privacy for the individual, but Trump can certainly provide it to the public to show that it was a sham. He can also provide the list of material taken from his home as well since the FBI would have to provide him with an itemized list of material taken.
You are correct, if he has nothing to hide, show all the detail to the public that it is a sham. Clear the air.
