You need the equivalent of a degree in commerce or something similar, including the required courses for your various designations. Plus about 4 years of something like apprenticeship. Doing bank appraisals was not a way to get rich fast. Doing fee based appraisal could be lucrative, but it takes a lot to get there and be qualified and have a successful practice. Much like an professional accountant or lawyer.
