Is tipping agency SPs common practice?

I saw a SP for the first time last week. Ended up tipping $100 at the end. I had gone through a period of struggling to finish, and boy did they put in a good 40 minutes of serious work to get me there, figured they deserved extra since the (Asian) agency probably takes a big cut.

Wow, that is generous, she must have been over the moon! :)

Early in my SP investigation days, I would get the SP a small gift, normally something that she would like to have (chocolates, wine, gift card, etc.). These days, I do that only for the best ones, since it gets expensive over time!

I guess giving $20 to an sp making $280 is really an insult. I always thought it would be appreciated because of the gesture. 20% of $280 = $56. So I guess if you want your tip to be appreciated, it needs to be $50 and up.

Depends on how you feel, I tip by leaving early. I rarely stay for my full hour. Sometime I am done within 40 min (includes shower) and out the door. Time is the best tip.

Tipping someone who makes $300 an hour?
+1 okay someone said it. Even if we assume SP is not independent at 250$ / HR their cut is 150$ / HR. Not many people make that kind of money.

And as some members already said most of the times when I tipped it felt a waste of money as it was not appreciated and it really didn't make any difference to the service.

Expensive and how many of your gifts are thrown in the trash can. Maybe the gift cards are kept, I dare say it depends on the amount.

My standard tip is $100 and thats only if i feel like i received excellent service and want to see the lady again which means i give the tip at the end of the session and never at the start. I would not tip for something that i thought was just average service. For my regulars i buy them something from their wishlist and give it to them at the start of the session.

Many times I tipped before my session and the SP didn't even appreciate it/or acknowledge it. I found the tip and or size of the tip had zero correlation to
the service I received.
If you feel you must tip, NEVER tips before the session.

I never tip any more. My return biz is enuf and I think more appreciated by the SP.

Back in the day, I was often the SP's last appointment of the day (by choice).

As she was closing up, she would ask me what am I suppose to do with all this "stuff"? I never actually gave them an answer but this is usually what happens,
1) The flowers go immediately into the trash.
2) She would keep only the wine she liked. The rest she gave to me.
3) All the chocolates were given to me.
4) The crotchless panties --- straight into the trash.
5) She kept the gift cards and the Maple Leaf hockey tickets.

I tipped probably 98% of the time with the only time I didn’t tip occurring when I paid before the session started. Nothing big but at times I also brought food or something else and this was paid back to me with time, sometimes with value of “time” being 50 to 200 times the value of the tip or gift.

I remember one story where an SP bought gifts for some of her clients and one guy was offended with the gift he received and told her he didn’t want it. The gift was worth hundreds of dollars but in his mind he was not “special” since she gave others gifts as well. This was around Christmas time and she opened her closet showing me all the gifts she received from clients. She didn’t like some of them and gave them to her friends.

I think the operative phase on tipping is "never expected but always appreciated."
That's the rub with some agency escorts and a whole lot of MPAs. Once behind closed door, some of what was assumed to be part of the package becomes "xtras" with specific tips required. Always means no repeat as far as I am concerned...
