I've heard that agencies take a significant cut. Wondering if tipping is a common practice. Do you do it?

The SPs working for an agency let the agencies do the advertising, promoting and bookings for their SPs, while the indies do all of that themselves.
Tipping is up to the individual. If you believe the SP, agency or indy, "made your day" or went above and beyond your expectations then tip her.

Exactly. Tipping is not required. They are make $100's per hour, save the 'tip' for future visits with the girl(s) you want to see.
Typically the agency cut is 40%. The girl gets 60%. The agency pays for the room, the booker works for them, they too need to be paid.
If the girl's rate is $250 per hour, the girl takes home $150, the agency takes $100.
I stopped tipping 3 years ago. One of the SPs even told me I am wasting my money by tipping her. Did nothing to improve the service. She did not want it either as she was making a good buck.

Many times I tipped before my session and the SP didn't even appreciate it/or acknowledge it. I found the tip and or size of the tip had zero correlation to

For a lot of guys, you show them a vagina, or even get them near a vagina and they become Fry from Futureama with the "Shut up and take my money". It's sad to the point of sickening. One guy, would go out with a bunch of girls and pay for everyone. I knew another guy who would be beyond happy to take a pretty girl out for a meal, just because she was pretty and with no designs on her, that she deserved it because she was pretty. Odd thing, hommie had looks, status, charm and future income and seemed to have no problem with the womanz so he didn't need to simp, also he was a university student so it isn't has if he was some sort of "baller"
If you really must pull shut up and take my money, find a way to tip the bookers, get them on your side and if you are a regular you will benefit more than tipping a girl most of whom are either professional enough or as buddy says above, are just going through the motions.
I tip only if I had a very good or better experience and plan to repeat. My usual tip for agency encounters is $20. I only tip at end of session.
I tip if i am really satisfied with the service and i intend to see the sp again. I feel this practice has enhanced my future sessions with the sp and we get to build more of a personal friendly relationship that tends to be less transactional

This. I've tipped $20 and about 80% of the time, there's very little gratitude. Not even a thank you. It leaves such a sour taste in my mouth, because I don't like to give money and then get the impression that I'm being cheap, and feeling resented for it.
When I tip $50, it's because the girl is so nice, and has provided great service. So of course she's going to be super grateful and happy, and I feel happy too because of it.
So, if the lady provided bad service: no tip.
If the lady provided average service: no tip.
If the lady provided great service: tip double the amount you normally do. Take the tip that you would have given to the other ladies who provided subpar service, and reward the good sp with their tips.

I normally tip $40-$50 for a good session, and $20 for an average one.
If I get good service without all the waste of time and bullshit talk and want to see her again, then I give between $50 to $100.
It works like a charm the next time we meet.
If money is tight for you give $25 if you can justify the service.

Considering minimum wage is 15 bucks and I am not sure if they changed it but until recently they still got almost full minimum wage, and they don't pay taxes on that 20 bucks and often they do multiple tables an hour, paying a 20 dollar tip at a restaurant is completely special needs. I know a lot of waitresses expected it but entitled plus self serving ignorance is entitled and self serving.
My brother does that, 100 bucks at a pub for 4 people, 1 table, 25 dollar tip. Same fucker told me 25 years ago that if I was ever homeless that I was not to go to him. Funny thing, his wife complains about tipping, she does it, she doesn't like the practice. I don't think too many do aside from those that profit from it.
I agree with Mr Pink, tipping is stunned. It was started by the ultra rich back in the day of extreme income inequality to come across as a big shot and it's a habit aped as time went on by lower classes trying to be something they are not. It's a fucking cancer and should be stopped.
A Big Mac Meal is $12 including taxes, so maybe $20 is on the cheap side. I guess I haven't kept up with inflation. Maybe this does explain the negative reactions I've been getting when giving $20.
