I called it first. Let's hope it's true.

For a moment I thought we were having a good discussion about a Trump- DeSantis ticket.
JC/Kirk raise some good points. The ticket would have to have Trump at the top. Full stop. He would not tolerate 2nd fiddle.

However, I don't think Trump would tolerate a #2 who would soak up a big chunk of press. DeSantis is no way a Pence who will sit quietly and fawn over Trump. This will piss off Trump. Remember when Bannon made the cover of a national magazine and Trump started after him? DeSantis does have his own support (but desperately wants trump's supporters) and he has signaled already he is not necessarily bending his knee before Trump.

I believe Trump will lose if he runs again. Republicans are moving away from him.
I think DeSantis will beat Biden. I think Biden knows he can't run again, but he cannot say so because the moment he does he becomes a lame duck. So he'll wait and like LBJ he'll toss in his decision not to run in fall of 2023. I think DeSantis will beat most of the usual Democrats suspects. Certainly beat Harris easily. The Dems have boxed themselves in, because if they skip over Harris a chunk of their supporters will do what they always do and sit in a corner and pout and whinge and not vote.

The Dem's only hope is to push a narrative to Trump that DeSantis is smarter, stronger, more handsome than Trump and then trump will turn his guns on DeSantis, hence doing their dirty work for them. They also need some more aggressive governor like Newsome but better still is a more aggressive and more centrist governor like Pritzker or Mitch Landrieu. But that too is not a guarantee. They'll go with some lame senator and lose.

DeSantis has stayed pretty deep inside the bubble. Let's see how he does with more mainstream scrutiny (BTW, same applies to the Dem candidates, they need more national scrutiny). It will be interesting.

Apparently there is a rule in the Constitution that the President and VP cannot be residents of the same state.
No.
This is just bullshit people think is true.
There is no Constitutional requirement for VP and Pres to be different states.
There is a requirement that an elector cannot vote for two people who also come from the same state as the elector. (Because when they fixed an earlier rule, they forgot to fix that part.)
So it would be stupid to do since it means all of Florida's Electoral College votes can't go to the ticket if they win Florida.
But no one thinks that rule would be kept if it happened because it is deeply stupid.
(In other words, SCOTUS would vote it doesn't matter if it was a GOP ticket but it would matter if it kept the Dems out of the white house.)

Can somebody just throw a banana peel under trump.......

I don't think Biden runs again. Let's face it his mental fitness isn't up tp the task.

Harris well she looks good on paper but when she opens her mouth it's pure nonsense and I'm being nice.

So do the Dems take a shot with Hillary?

Hillary vs DeSantis?

A Trump/DeSantis ticket would crush any UnDemocrat contender in 2024. That is unless
a) they massively cheat again
or
b) the radical eft ends up causing a civil war during the election campaign because they can't stand to lose
those 2 things already happened and Trump is responsible and should be in jail, not in the oval office. I guess K Douglas has no respect for democracy or the Constitution.

You really belive that with the Biden's approval numbers as they are right now, in these economic conditions he has a shot at reelection? If you do, I'd like to sell you my toll booth on Gardiner. You'll make millions and you will be rich beyond your dreams. Let's have lunch and talk business. LOL!!
Keep on dreaming about "4 more years" and the "elections were stolen" as we saw a RECORD number of Americans do one thing and one thing only.......... getting rid of Trump. They had enough. 2 years is a long way to go. Most Americans with a common sense knows that the present inflation is nothing to do with the current Biden Administration. That is why Fox and the rest of the Trump ass kissers are getting more and more nervous now that the average gas prices at the pumps are declining compared to the speculation of $6 per gallon at the pumps. Fox is empathizing with the gas stations owners being "squeezed" as a result. Trump is toast as far as being a POTUS. Suck up to it!!

Nothing is Joe's fault.Too bad the American people are too dumb to acknowledge all Joe has done to them. Or are they? Looking at Joe's polls, I'd say you're the fringe.

Tik Tok is your Gospel Truth. OIC.........ROTFLMAO!!

What does that tell you when the Favourability Rating of Biden is very low and yet the majority of Americans just do not want what the Republicans are offering in terms of Trump and even De Santis? Would you want someone like this as your next president in 2024:

A majority thinks Trump is to blame for Jan. 6 but won't face charges, poll finds
