its been told to me that "sleep" itself if your body's way of healing from many a thing.

I sleep, but the thing I don't do very often anymore is dream.

do any of you no longer drift off & think of "anything"?

or if you do dream... what is something you dream of often... assuming you remember your dreams.

I used to dream about sex with women I desired. I would also have odd dreams quite regularly and then, all of a sudden I stopped remembering them.

I recently had a hot a steamy dream about a girl I dated almost 40 years ago. I was crazy, crazy about her.

We had one passionate night on our first date, where we did just about everything short of actually PIV sex. We were still in high school, and she had invited me to her school's semi-formal after a brief meeting at a dance, and a few phone calls on an old land line.

She was beautiful, intelligent , charming and a heck of a dancer. She was also a virgin and I know her own arousal scared her that night.

I had a dream about that night recently. It was like reliving that night...even felt the same vibrating with excitement. I could taste her lipstick....remember our hot breath in a very cold car. I woke up with the scent of her womanly charms in my mind, and an erection that would not quit.

It was a wonderful dream.

Remembering dreams is an indication of poor sleep quality. If you fall asleep well, enter REM phase and then come out of it to awaken naturally you should feel well rested and not remember any dreams at all.

I know that I dream a lot (most nights) but I don't recall much of them.

True as far as I know.

Most people dream while sleeping, but few remember them, especially if they are sound sleepers. The only dreams I remember are those that are vivid and disturbing, and if I wake up very soon after the dream, or if the dream actually wakes me up because it's that disturbing. In those cases I have a tremendous sense of relief in realizing it was "just a dream".

Sexy dreams are very rare now. I used to get them more often, and would feel disappointed if something woke me up during a sexy dream and I had to get up. If not, I would try to get back to the same dream, but with no success.

Recurring dreams:

University exam - I go into the exam hall, open the exam booklet, and realize I have never been taught the questions they are asking. Apparently this dream is quite common amongst college and university graduates.

Naked at the office or in public - Self-explanatory. Also supposedly a common dream that means that you fear being exposed or made naked to the public for all the personal faults and shortcomings you try so hard to conceal.

Car accident or moving violation - again so relieved when I wake up.

Can't remember my apartment number or even the floor my apartment is on. Also sometimes same issue but I'm in a hotel.

Can't remember what street I parked my car on, or where it is in a large parking structure. Every time I press my key fob I hear a chirp, but can't find the darn car.

Smoking dreams - I quit over 30 years ago. Used to have frequent dreams that I was still smoking, but those are very rare now.

I can fly - I flap my arms and levitate about 20 feet off the ground, and can even fly forward a bit. One of my favourites.

A fight with my ex-wife - it's as if we were still married and having a vicious verbal fight. The horror!

I also often have dreams that involve my late parents and uncles. Usually quite pleasant.

I find that as I get older my dreams have become weirder, or maybe it's because I don't sleep as soundly as I used to. I tried CBD edibles, but they made my dreams very vivid and disturbing, so I switched to 5mg Indica THC chewies. I eat one an hour before bed time and find I fall asleep faster and have more pleasant dreams than I was having before the edibles.

Here's a general question. Do you guys dream in colour, or just black & white?

I do find that I can recall my dreams if I am on vacation and getting longer night sleeps, and the pace of life slows down.

I am sure I dream but, like I said, most nights I don't recall them.

I have several repeat dreams. Driving up a steep scary freeway. Incline becomes like 80 degrees. Car starts to tilt backwards and tumble down over and over until I slam awake.
Several others too boring to bore you with.
My best one was a really nice wet dream about a girl at school when I was 14. She was very sweet. didn't hate me as much as most of them, although we never went anywhere. Anyway. Morning after my dream she stopped me in class and told me she had a dream about me. I told her I had a dream about her too. She turned crimson and went all nonplussed and flustered. I like to think we had the same dream. Felt as if we did.

My dreams are beyond fucked up, most times I wake up in shock thankful it was only a dream.
The most fucked up part I start dreaming almost immediately as I fall asleep, that's strange because you shouldn't dream until atleast an hour to hour and a half

I do that too...I find that I start dreaming when I'm still in that early, just falling asleep stage.

I also practice lucid dreaming. It's taken me a few years and I'm still not perfect at it. That could be why I start dreaming at a half-asleep stage...
