And do any of them think using a low power semi-auto is more accurate?
I don't know what kind of hunters you know but the ones I know pride themselves in being able to take down their target with a single shot. Bolt actions are on average more accurate and any hunter deserving of the name doesn't need to unload with a semi-auto to kill their game.
Semi-auto might be my choice against a charging polar bear but even still, I'd want rounds larger than the 5.56.
None of them use low power semi auto rifles. You're trying to warp the narrative.
FACT: Snipers do use semi auto rifles:

FACT: Snipers chose their tool based on their mission

FACT: The action they choose for the mission could be semi auto or bolt action.
You know how I can tell you've not done inadequate research again even though I keep telling you? Because you haven't looked into what hunters can use semi auto for.
Instead, you're just saying "I know a guy that hunts, and he doesn't use one". As well, be it semi auto or single shot, you still want to take down the target with a single shot.
Instead of being an armchair expert who can't even be bothered to properly do research on the internet, get off the couch, sign up for a firearms license course and then get a hunting license. Taking those might even get you outside where you can get some exercise by walking around in the wilderness instead of sitting behind a keyboard.
Learn something instead of being a critic who doesn't really know what he's talking about.
You also are still deliberately choosing to ignore that rifle action is separate from caliber to bias your argument
