Doubt it will be mandated. Just recommended
Come November 4th and 5th jabs of vaccine will be offered...that I have no doubt about
Once it starts getting cooler and with the oncoming flu season, we could very likely see a spike of this Covid-19.
We are not too sure what the next variant has in store for us!!
It is all going to depend on what level of death people think is acceptable.
Whatever that is politically, that will be the new trigger for mandates going forward.
At least in Canada we seem to have less of an issue of people actively wanting to pretend COVID doesn't exist, was never a problem, and should never be mentioned again.
Hopefully this means we will be spending the kind of money needed to create serious permanent COVID infrastructure on the level of what we have for influenza (although if we can use this as a chance to improve the flu infrastructure as well that would be good) so as to keep things under control and out of mind for the general population.

So what, cases go up. They, THE EXPERTS, already think people are currently being infected at a rate of 10,000 to 20,000 PER DAY in Ontario...yet hospital occupancy rates and 'deaths' are in steady decline.
No reason to continue with your beloved lockdowns, masking mandates and other stupid unnecessary rules you feel society needs to follow.
Keep living in fear and wearing your mask if you want to, no one is going to stop you.

What you do not seem to comprehend is that the declining cases are mainly due to the masking mandates, vaccines and other restrictions.
Once the lid is lifted too quickly then hopefully we do not start seeing a reversal to the declining numbers. Maybe you will understand if you lose a beloved one to this Pandemic!!
Of course I am going to mask up until this Pandemic is 100% gone, done and dusted. But you guys will be moaning and groaning if these restrictions are re-imposed following a new and more deadly strain hitting us in the fall as some of the REAL EXPERTS are predicting!!
What you have said has all been said before no less than a billion times already....yet all over North America and Europe mandates are being lifted or have already been lifted. Ontario is pretty much the slowest in Canada...in all of North America in fact to lift masking mandates. Quebec and Hawaii might be just a tick behind us. You are free to keep masking and that is the point. You get to decide what is best for you.
Will mask mandates come back before year end ? The answer is probably yes. We are entering a positive cycle for now though in this pandemic which is not over until it is over everywhere, and other centres are having their turn at spiking numbers.
The masks may be in the process of being lifted in several nations that have a higher infection and death rates than Ontario or Canada as well. But remember that once upon a time when we had no masks or vaccines or any such measures in place, then the Covid-19 outbreak hit us and when push came to shove the economy had to shut. Looks like History may have to repeat itself:
