These trucker dickheads who don't represent the vast majority of Canadians, will get bored and move on soon enough. Or they'll get towed. It's no longer a protest, it's an occupation.

90% of Canadians have taken the vaccine. Restrictions are being relaxed, not by some truckers honking their horns, but because hospital numbers are going down. The vaccinated have won!

So then I assume you were this active and riled up during the BLM protests during the summer of 2020. I assume there are at least as many posts made by you chastising those who were starting fires and looting as there are about the disturbances associated with this protest.
You were just as active about those incidents, right?
I joined terb March 2021 so you will have to either take my word for it or believe I am not genuine. I will not lose sleep either way.

Exactly.

Numbers are way down, everything will open up and the protest will have done nothing.

Makes you think it's not a protest against mandates but something else. Is it really American right-wing insurrection on Canada? We may see more of this in 2024? Liberals need a majority to draft up new laws.

You miss the point, the governors of Texas and Florida are admitting they funded a Canadian protest who's stated goals were the removal of the Prime Minister.
So They are going to sue:LOL:? How did I miss the point? Judge Garland should be able to sort things out...

Then good. As long as you are consistent in your condemnation. As for me, I don't see why one can't compliment a group f protesters given the comparative nature of other large gatherings.
Considering most cities can't even have a sports team win a championship with out a riot breaking out. I'm looking at you Vancouver and Montreal.
I will pat those on the back the protesters in Toronto this weekend that managed to behave themselves, as it is becoming increasingly rare. Just I pat on the back the thousands of Fans that turned up in the streets for the City's horrible organizational excuse of a parade for the Raptors when they won.
And despite all the bullshit that happened during that parade because of the incompetance of the City and their ability to properly plan the event. The crowd never once rioted, or destroyed property. A wonderful example, and in comparison to other large crowds that gather, they deserved to be patted on the back for their behavior.

In the face of the realities of the world, you can choose to be a hardass if you want. But I will acknowledge those who stand out from what is typically happening, even if that standing out is simply for doing what should be done.

You may have spoken too soon, they haven't left and things can turn ugly.

Cannot truckers get tested before crossing border? Would that not solve the protest ?
Truckers can’t cross into the US either unless they are vaccinated so the whole protest is stupid since they can’t go south to the US so crossing to come back will not be a problem anyway.

Gunshots at City Hall on that Raptors day.

Then there was the G20 riot backed by unions and leftie politicians.

I'm no hardass, I just have expectations that people shouldn't be commended for meeting the bare minimum.

Protester A storms a food shelter demanding food meant for those in need. Deserves condemnation from all including other protesters.
Protester B does not, nor should he. It doesn't even occur to him to do that since he is not in need of a food shelter. No criticism deserved but no credit earned either.
Protester C stops Protester A, or he/she sets up a bbq next to the shelter and prepares meals for the homeless...... That deserves credit.

Perhaps I am becoming old man shaking his fist at the world but I am astonished by the low expectations some have where people who do not commit crimes or assault innocents or do not act like assholes expect to receive credit for that. I mentioned it in another post but you should watch Chris Rock's take on people boasting that they take care of their kids.

Yeah not going to happen despite the extreme intolerant left trying so hard to label anyone they don’t agree with as extremist, or boogie man extremists right, or racist this or intolerant that when they are doing this against the ones they disagree with. We saw how desperately they wanted and hoped for it to turn into Jan 6th and nothing happened like they hopped. These idiotic ideas came form the left media. It’s just one projection after the next. It’s like you see zoo animals throwing poop against the wall and hoping something sticks. Why do you want an intolerant society so bad that supports authoritarian governments?

Canada is way bigger then this limited view you see them as where ever culture, every religion and ideology is welcome and people are free to protest and express their views peacefully despite all these groups trying to exploit them for their own political agenda.

It’s sad and disappointing that you see Canadians who don’t agree with in such a negative light and so desperately try to label them, segregate them, and impose fear onto them because they have a different ideology then you do.

This is not what Canada is about. No matter how hard the left extreme group tries to label the ones who have a different ideology as right extreme boogie man and tries to make it seem like they need professional help because they have a different ideology, it will never work.

All you guys are doing is exposing your own intolerance and bigotry and fakeism with this none sense. You just can’t fear people into joining your pathetic tribe and think you speak for the left. You don’t . There are many on the left who are in that protest and support it. You just can’t understand how this can exist because it’s outside your tribes paradigm lock.

Hope is always stronger then fear. Love for our fellow Canadians will always win over this hatered you hold in your heart against people you disagree with.

The gun shots were gang related and didn't really have anything to do with the parade or parade goers themselves, so to me that didn't really count.

And I know all about the burning of Police cars during the G20. I'm not saying Toronto has never had Riots. I am strictly talking about these two Large Gatherings.

You will only have won if Trudeau keeps the vaccine mandates for air travel, truckers.....etc for an indefinite period of time.
If Trudeau cancels the mandates within the next couple of months our side will have won. Especially if the protests keep getting larger.

The battle lines have been drawn

Mandates will never end completely. They will be on again off again as necessary. Perhaps in few months air travel and trucker mandates that you highlight might be dropped, but they will return when a new worse variant hits. Your victory that you expect to enjoy will be short lived. I will be glad to be wrong but until global vaccination catches up, new variants will always be lurking.

whatever measures are taken or dropped will be based on COVID and not at all to do with the protesters. But any drop of measures based on COVID will be manipulated by protesters so say it was them and bloat their egos.
