“It’s definitely awkward because Lia still has male body parts and is still attracted to women,” a teammate, who spoke anonymously, told the Daily Mail .

“If this gets a little bit bigger, I might go on the record, but I’m definitely a little afraid,” she said. “What I’m afraid of is that potential employers will Google my name and see commentary about things I said and think, oh, this person’s transphobic.”

The swimmer told the Daily Mail that out of the 35 teammates, only two or three are fine with their current situation.

Over react much? Their beef is that she doesn't always cover up her male genitals with a towel. get woke.
Their beef is that a man who is attracted to women is sharing their locker room with his cock out.

Why have separate lockers for genders at all?

This is too rich. Aren't women the biggest proponent of LGBTTTTQ3 rights?

Women in sports better get used to trans males in their shower room. When gold medals and money are the incentives there will be more, especially in big money sports like tennis.

Unless the woman in question is sexually harassing the other team members, why is there an issue? Their worries are inherently transphobic and come down to a lack of education on discrimination. Personally when I’m in a locker room my eyes don’t oogle anyones genitals??? Lmao. If I ever feel uncomfortable I simply don’t dress/undress around the person.

there are also extensive requirements of trans athletes being allowed in their deserved category, which includes 4 years of assertation of their gender, followed by hormone testing. For example 4 years of HRT and testosterone blockers will diminish muscle mass. If trans athletes truly had an overwhelming advantage, why do we not see them on the podium?

I know this post may upset some and I won’t engage with comments that are transphobic. But if the woman is being inappropriate please link me as that’s inexcusable no matter what!

money + dick = swinging dick...

This whole story about transgenders competing for money is insane, in my book. Pussies compete against pussies, dicks against dicks. Simple.

Actually another issue is that in some competitions there is no competition. I couldn't find the article with the exact results but in a 500 metre race she won by a ridiculous 38 seconds.

Her shoulders are mammoth. Even Caitlynn Jenner is talking about the unfair advantage that she has. None of this has anything to do with her dick.

The case of Lia Thomas has sparked quite a bit of controversy in the sporting world. One of Thomas’ teammates spoke anonymously about the unfair advantage for an athlete who swam for three years with the men’s team: “Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this. Our coach [Mike Schnur] just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do.”

Olympic Champion Michael Phelps also spoke up, calling for a “level playing field”, comparing the advantage to doping.

Caitlyn Jenner urged the NCAA to require athletes to compete according to their biological gender in order to “protect women’s” sports. The NCAA ignored Jenner’s pleas and issued new guidance, which leaves the decision-making up to the ruling bodies of the individual sports.

Why don't you sign up for ten rounds with Mike Tyson? Oh and bring a hotdog to make it legal.

Funny how the term Transphobic is misused at every opportunity to leverage an agenda, the second someone's opinion doesn't suit the transgender narrative they are branded labeled, and shamed as transphobic and not worthy of being heard or even considered.

Just as your parting sentiments conveniently show, imagine our world where differences of opinions are silenced, what a brilliant evolutionary idea.

I won’t engage with comments that are transphobic virtue signalling ,,,,,,yawn

I don't care what you do with your body, you can kill yourself if you want to, it's a free country, none of my business, men have no business in women's sports and that has nothing to do with any phobia.

How do you resolve a future where little BIOLOGICAL girls grow up knowing there is no point in competing in sports.

Women can't take performance-enhancing steroids in sports, right? and why the hell do you think that might be?

But 6' 10" 260lb Joe can walk out of his house get on a bus and get off the bus as Jill and walk into the women's wrestling competition and snap all the ladies' spines in half and this is acceptable?

End of argument.

Lol! Since we have been so big on "science" these past two years, we would be amiss if we have failed to follow it and point out the obvious. The women athletes are objecting to a MAN in their locker room. It's wholly beside the point what he is identifying himself as. Our dear Justin identified himself as a black Arab, Sikh, Hindu and even a Jamaican with a giant schlong. He is none of them, BTW. And neither is the individual in question. But, in the name of ideology, we are trying to overturn millions of years of evolution and basic science and pretend that what's before us is really something else. That's magic.

nothing to do with transphobia...more to do with anatomy, you can't seriously believe biological women will still be successful in sports by 2030 if this keeps on going?

While the parade of Transphobes on this board is not surprising… the women who have to share the locker room have every right to feel the way they do. It is a complicated situation.

To me transphobia is referring to Lia as a man. I welcome discussions (and disagreements!) if someone can manage to not be a twerp about it. Not agreeing with me isn’t transphobia. I frankly welcome discussions and as an ex competitive swimmer have a personal interest in how the introduction of non cis athletes play out!

Cis women still own the sport, and podium placements have very little trans athletes. I find it’s easy to use someone who isn’t considered “passing” as an example to argue against trans athletes competing in their respective category. I never see anyone hold issue with trans men (biologically female) athletes competing in the mens category because they have a deemed disadvatage.

I truly do not believe people would fake being trans and face this level of scrutiny, and extensive testing and investigations to earn the chance at the podium. As iiiiif their competition doesnt execute their own investigations to remove them from competing??

No female professional athlete wakes up and says oh gosh darn those trans people make my dreams pointless. I will admit I know nothing of Lia’s competition history though— my point is she has the right to compete as a woman.

Re: the locker room, i do not doubt that it’s a shock, undoubtedly everyones first encounter, and this will be navigated over time.

In the end i’m genuinely interested in a mature discussion that doesnt take the easy way out pandering to disagreeing with me being “politically correct”. I’m reading eagerly and learning all the same as you grinches! 🤝

Doesn't reduce bone mass.
As Joe Rogan said, "you can cut Brock Lesnar's dick off and put him in a dress" Still not going to lose to a woman.

You can call yourself whatever you want. But, you cannot ask me to suspend reality, science and evolution and call man a woman. Trans prefix is as far as I go. Not for your sake, but for mine.

Would you all support Caitlyn Jenner competing in womens competitions? She wants to preserve womens rights to fair competition, so by her logic would she just not compete?

I 100% support transgender community. My buddies kid transitioned and had her breasts removed and hormone therapy. While I do not get it, I understand it’s real.

I still have issues with men who transition to women competing… especially if they have not had any surgeries. There is a competitive disadvantage to other athletes.

I have never heard of Lea Thomas until now. So I will not judge this case specifically.

I will say that I disagree with you that no one would ever claim to be transgender who isn’t, and go through all that scrutiny. Some people are fucked up, and like the attention. An SP I used to chat with told me a story of a guy would used her services to be degraded and humiliated. He would wear a diaper…. Blah blah blah, you get the drift. One session, he had a heart attack, while in a diaper, and 9/11 needed to called, and that’s how he was taken to the hospital.

Turns out he faked the heart attack because the humiliation of the 9/11 responders, and trip to the hospital in the diaper was exhilarating.

So yeah… if you are willing to cut your body parts off, I am willing to accept you. If you just show up in the womens locker room, I may have some questions.
