The American CDC just updated their mask guidelines which the Canadian government tend to copy right after.

Don’t get the ones with the exhalation valve. If you are infected, it lets virus out. Good masks will protect the wearer from other people and vice versa.

I wear a surgical mask over it.

By that measure I'm still good with no mask. Hikikomori for the win bitches.

Still wear an N95 mask though and even a face shield when I get the vax. However it is abundantly clear, lessor masks do work, just not as well. I N95ed up recently because well fuck, if they offered a monthly shot against the cold I'd be all over that like a fat kid on pizza.
If you are spending 8 hours a day treating covid patients you probably want to go full potato, if you stay at home except for groceries and lotto tickets, a surgical mask if probably more than fine.
Also i find now that I am used to it, it ain't no thang. Did take a bit of getting used to.

We've been through this already many times. Ontario infections went up, not down, after masks were mandated.
They went up by quite a bit too
