You’re awesome...
Maybe don't be so quick to attack all the time and it won't blow up in your face and make yourself look like a pathetic ass-wipe like you did this time.

I'm a Habs fan but we are far from having the best jersey. I much prefer Vegas, LA or Chicago.

While I personally find the Chicago home jersey super attractive and tasteful even in the current politically correct climate, the challenge is just that - too many woke activists believe that the jersey is a terrible cultural appropriation by the NHL and that it does not provide a sufficient nod of awareness to those native communities of interest that actually do take umbrage.

I often wonder if my own affinity for the jersey's design, as a white person, simply serves to highlight my own lack of true understanding of the native perspective and their lived experiences. Maybe I wouldn't have the same admiration for the design if I did?

Montreal Canadiens winning percentage is .264, worse in the NHL...how were they able to rig last years playoffs?

Price mainly. And Weber. And Danault was the backbone of the team. A few late addition like Stall and especially Perry helped a lot. All gone now...

There is that^^^or also the idea that they were barely over .500, they weren't that good of a team, should have loss to Toronto in the first round and received break after break in yet another fluky run.

I went to a Catholic school that used Vikings as their team name. I mean, really do they even history. A bit like a Jewish team calling themselves the Hitler McNazis

In the past 30 year it happened quite a few time that a last qualifying team makes a run to the cup.

But you are correct Toronto should have won that series. 2 turnover mistakes in overtime by the leafs and boum the Habs win :p

Perhaps the most major factor is actually still playing for the Habs. Jeff Petry.

Last year Petry had 42 points in 55 games and was 13th in Norris voting.

This year he has 3 points in 30 games. Three! And is not playing well defensively either.

He went from arguably a top 20 defenceman in the NHL last year to somebody who doesn’t crack the top 150 this year.

Have to wonder how bad his hand is that he mangled last playoffs.

First item on the Hab's shopping list is to draft/trade for another Carey Price or Patrick Roy or Ken Dryden or Tony Esposito or Rogie Vachon or or Gump Worsley or Bunny Larocque or Jacques Plante and the list goes on..

And give up on both of them before they got good.

Actually they let go of Espo by putting him on waivers after less than 20 games and kept goalies who were not as good.

The Habs once had Worsley, Vachon, Esposito and Dryden in their system at the same time. It was obvious that they couldn't keep them all. Same with other teams that have had more than one great goalie at the same time. The Leafs lost Cheevers because they chose to keep Bower. The Red Wings lost Glenn Hall because they chose to keep Sawchuk instead. The Bruins lost Dryden because ........................

Who are the undrafted prospects with superstar potential they should be targeting though? Haven't heard of any truly elite untapped prospects in goal tending lately. Does that mean MTL is destined to suck balls until one finally emerges and they can turn the ship around from the net outwards, per their system? Is there a plan B that doesn't include drafting the next Price, Roy, Esposito, Vachon, Worsley, Laroque or Plante?

And Espo was the best of them. And Vachon was comparable to Dryden but Dryden played for a better team. Yet they kept the "well past his prime" Gump.

Not much to choose between Cheevers and Bowers (they both sound like British butlers) and Detroit made the right choice in keeping Sawchuk.

Montreal put their best goalie on waivers and got bupkis for him.
