Yeah, I did order a couple of times, but I prefer picking out my stuff. Are we back to lineups? You do know that you can order, right?
Possibly, and you can blame the anti-vaxxers.Yeah, I did order a couple of times, but I prefer picking out my stuff. Are we back to lineups?
Avoid stores where they make you line up. Personal observation, Canadians LOVE lining up, for some reason.Yeah, I did order a couple of times, but I prefer picking out my stuff. Are we back to lineups?
I heard that the price of gaskets is up 50% from last year.Man I would hate to be a retailer right now, I'd be blowing a gasket.
Possibly and you can blame COVID for COVID.Yeah, I did order a couple of times, but I prefer picking out my stuff. Are we back to lineups?
Look, I totally understand the frustration. Even though 80% are fully protected, that remaining 20% represent a significant threat to our healthcare system. If even 5% or fewer get sick, and sick enough to require hospitalization, the system would be overwhelmed. Imagine if they swamp the ICUs and a loved one of yours was in a car accident or had a heart attack/stroke and there was no space for them. Wouldn't you be pissed at these inconsiderate assholes who didn't take a free, safe and effective vaccine that could mitigate the worst of the symptoms? It’s a joke. It really is. We are going backwards. Unlike when this first hit I didn’t know anyone who had Covid. Today, it’s seems everyone I know has had it. From 9 years old to 80. Based on their experience. It’s was the sniffles. This is a lame response from a society with 80% vaccination rate.
Mate. I get your point but it’s all ‘imagine’ ‘what’s if’s’ and ‘maybes’ based on hyperthetical predictive modeling which is flawled. We supposedly went through the worse pandemic ever over the last 18 months and the hospital/healthcare system held up fine. The same excuses won’t fly.Look, I totally understand the frustration. So, cutting back on capacity is really the only choice here for indoor activities. It sucks. But this Omicron seems to spread ridiculously easily, and the case numbers continue to climb. While the number of serious illnesses seems to be low right now, it is a trailing indicator. I mean, you might test positive and only have the "sniffles" but it can progress quickly and send you to the hospital a few days later.
Finally, we don't know enough about Omicron yet. It might be a highly contagious but mild version of COVID, which would be the best case scenario. Or, it could start to show some serious teeth and then we are truly fucked!
It is not the only choice. Increasing hospital resources and capacities was a choice that our government ignored for 2 years now at least. Although we all know it has been longer then that.Look, I totally understand the frustration. 80% of people are no longer vaccinated, not any more. Actually, that number is falling every single day. All those vaccinated before end of June can no longer be considered protected by the vaccines.Look, I totally understand the frustration. lol. So true. You can’t make this shit up. It reminds me of being at school and having to join the nerds table. I’d watch them struggle with simple tasks, over analyzing everything, all making rules that compound on each other until absolutely nothing gets done.80% of people are no longer vaccinated, not any more. Actually, that number is falling every single day. All those vaccinated before end of June can no longer be considered protected by the vaccines.
Actually, the lockdowns did work. That's why infection rates plunged. And while you might have stayed inside, a number of people didn't.Mate. We need to show some serious teeth and get out. Tell people to exercise, eat right and stop dancing around real social issues that are a bigger risk to our healthcare system.
Also, do you really think restrictions and lockdowns work? I didn’t move from my house for 18 months along with the majority of people and according to the media cases grew significantly every day which built the case for a strong vaccination campaign. It’s a virus, it was always going to runs it’s course.
As for the 20% who are unvaccinated. I don’t see our current lame response as incentive to get them vaxxed. It seems we are all in the same place as we started.
I’m starting to get more pissed off at the inconsiderate assholes who keep supporting locking us up. That’s the kicker to all the folks who played ball for 18 months and lost a lot of money, Jobs, business and who haven’t seen family or friends who live outside of Canada since this farce began.
And we barely had lockdowns here anyway. They were very lax "stay at home" recommendations for the most part.Actually, the lockdowns did work. That's why infection rates plunged. And while you might have stayed inside, a number of people didn't.
The failure to distribute rapid tests easily to the population is absolutely a governmental failure. As for boosting hospital capacity, sure, Dougie Ford should have done something about that, or even made schools safer by investing in better HVAC systems. But they didn't do fuck all. Considering the demand for rapid test kits out there, it is mind boggling that we're in this position.
They still worked every time. Once the Ontario lockdowns hit [well "proper" lockdowns] within 2 weeks like clockwork case counts started dropping. They relax the lockdown to a significant degree and they go up.And we barely had lockdowns here anyway. They were very lax "stay at home" recommendations for the most part.
Talk to your friends in Europe about real lockdowns.
