This is what I have been saying from the beginning.

Unless you know the person or source, their grow methods, QC the risk is high especially in a market primarily motivated by money.

Obviously you will have the biased people claiming their uncle grows the most potent weed in his moms basement this is ridiculous, foolish and dumb AF to buy it on the black market.

I don't smoke weed myself but from what I'm told by people really know, the weed sold in stores is shit, so they get it from the west coast

Correct.

Truth is - local dispensary weed is garbage, and over priced.

I recently bought an Oz from an online merchant located in BC - free shipping via Canada Post, and the ounce cost $100 (on sale). Product was much better than any I've picked up at an Ontario dispensary over the pandemic.

I get great, fresh weed for under $10/gm. I think the stores sell it for $15/gm.

lol, isn't that how it's always been with Marijuana? Some dealers sold the good sticky icky and some sold dirt garbage. Nothing new here.

No matter what they try to say, the weed market will always be a flop. There's not that much money in marijuana.

Every weed dealer I ever knew was poorer than I was. I can only image how difficult it is for people trying to make it a legitimate business. 😄🤣

I buy from a guy in Scarborough who's been selling since the mid 70's, when he was in high school. Most of his customers have been buying from him for at least 30 years, some much longer. He doesn't sell to anyone under 35years old, and some of his customers buy for their adult kids. His supplier doesn't use his own product, so my guy is his 'taste tester', to let that guy know what to buy from suppliers. I buy enough to last for a year each visit, 3-4 oz at about $8.50 per gram, all nicely dried buds. There are three dispensaries within five minutes' walk of my house, but I've never gone in to any of them. It appears to me that there is no price reduction for quantity buys in a dispensary, but I may be wrong on that.

I think it is good that we have possibility to buy marijuana. Especially if you have some such health problems.

This is why I went to get my medical card way before it became legal. I thought I was regulating before pretty well but once I found a licensed producer and A specific strain that works for me, the consistency of my medication now is amazing. Night and day in comparison to when I bought black market.

Spend the money, be safe and get quality stuff.

I still only buy from my license producer and if I go to a dispensary it Hass to be a dispensary that sells my license producers medication. Even though the strain can be bought in other stores, it’s still not cultivated the same in my opinion so I just stick to the one source. I can grow red roses at my house but I bet someone else grows the same red roses better then and worse then me. Same with weed strains.

From a friend's roommate who has done and seen it all, fentanyl is now being sprayed on marijuana leaves, he specifically called out B.C. A bit worrisome, it's bad enough the stuff on its own is a problem. https://vpd.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/opioid-crisis.pdf

Here's a warning in Ontario

There is a special place in hell for “the dealer” especially the opioid “dealer”. Traffickers should be executed up against a wall by a government firing squad in a two year pilot project to see if opioid deaths will actually go down.

 here we go again.

Maybe the CT story turns out to be real for once.

But I doubt it.

It would be as odd as ever that a street level dealer decides, “Today I’m going to lace my cannabis but not tell my custies, forcing me to eat the costs.”

To what end? Are they hoping their customers will die, because they’d really like to be a part of the inevitable police investigation?

Accidental fentanyl cross-contamination of fentanyl or even worse, carfentanyl is no joke. So if you’re fucking around on the black market, you better at-least be able to trust your dealer and their supply chain, or invest in testing kits.

Low quality and pesticides from non-regulated cannabis...

If the OPP really wanted to make an actual dent in any of this, they’d have the balls to name and shame, especially the grey market websites, or brands of the concentrates and edibles.

Anyone that’s been buying on the grey since it’s been online knows you can get anything from ditch schwag, to connoisseur bud you won’t find on the OCS, and everything in between.

This is just the usual scare tactic to try to ensure the G-Men get to squeeze as much out of their monopoly that they can.

On a slow day, I'll use search to read more of your posts. I don't think we post in the same threads often, and I only read a small number of threads on this board.
