Are you serious? Not a typical Trumpist.
How is that not a typical Trumpist?

They're not quite trailer trash. I exaggerated. But they appear low-end working class. They live in a very small house.

I'm not seeing much there at all.
Small house has little to do with it.
Trump support is concentrated in the petty bourgeoisie if you want to use a very loaded term for it.
Small-business owners, supervisory and middle-management employees, franchisees, landlords, real estate agents, propertied farmers, stuff like that.
Decent money, no higher education.

Like I said, if I bet, then the combined household income is six figures. That seems an very safe guess.
The odds one income is over 6 and the other below seem good.
Both over 6 is definitely possible.

Are they mega rich? Obviously not.
But median income for a family in that township is ~$75,000/year. I don't think it is a stretch to put this household at upside of $100,000 at all. Getting them up to $200,000 doesn't seem crazy either.

A lot of Trump supporters are actually quite rich. They are supporters of Trump because of their racism.

In that case, the likely overwhelming civil liability - even with insurance coverage - and the social stigma is really going to bite them?

The racism and not having enough education to overcome the indoctrination about guns, Jesus, "America was once great, but the libtards have ruined it", etc.

That wasn't who voted for Trump the most.
Poorer folk voted for Clinton and Biden.
I do not believe that. Most uneducated people do not earn a lot of money, although there are exceptions.

Historically, Karl Marx predicted that the petite bourgeoisie were to lose in the course of economic development. Following this, R. J. B. Bosworth suggested that they were to become the political mainstay of fascism, which represented in political form a terroristic response to their inevitable loss of power (economic, political, and social) to the haute bourgeoisie.[5]

Wilhelm Reich also highlighted the principal support of the rise of fascism in Germany given by the petite bourgeoisie and middle class in The Mass Psychology of Fascism. He claimed that the middle classes were a hotbed for political reaction due to their reliance on the patriarchal family (according to Reich, small businesses are often self-exploiting enterprises of families headed by the father, whose morality binds the family together in their somewhat precarious economic position) and the sexual repression that underlies it.

But it's true.
The whole "the poor/economically disadvantaged is Trump's base" isn't true. We've known this for years now.

College educated isn't a great proxy for wealth. Or rather, lack of college education doesn't equate to poverty. Most of the US doesn't go to College.

Nothing is absolute, everything is shades of grey.

One of the paradoxes in social work, that bothers social workers a lot, is that the disadvantaged people they help, most often are against social programs. As one poor guy in my hometown once said to me: "When I [get to] pay taxes, I don't want my taxes to go to somebody like me"

Danmand, there are tons of middle class Trump voters on suburbs. And GOP in general. Anecdotal, but in my various online DnD games I have an eclectic mix of players. Including college educated engineers who voted for him. Ex military officers. Business owners. All over the USA.

You really can't make absolute proclaimations.

A lot of it is background and regionalism. The Midwest non ethnic minority voters have voted GOP for over a century. It's THEIR party and that's THEIR ideology. Trump is just a cartoon version of things they already believe.

College education, minority status and the urban / rural divide appear to be important. Just check any electoral map of the US in the last 3 elections.

Well, let's fact check that.

Huber was convicted of assaulting a family member when he had a psychiatric breakdown and was taken to the mental hospital. Sounds pretty sympathetic to me. Not your usual domestic violence episode. The guy probably thought he was being assaulted by space goblins or something. He also got in a minor misdemeanour fight w another family member later on.

(That latter offence is about the equivalent to Rittenhouse punching out the girl who attacked his sister, just for comparison).

And Grosskreutz was convicted of a misdemeanour when he possessed a firearm when intoxicated. (Pretty standard for any gun buff. I mean, how many good, solid rednecks have gotten drunk and shot up cans?)

You think those 2 people deserve to die because they're "criminals" and Rittenhouse did the world a "favour"??!!..... Probably 25% of the guys out there have similar past criminal records like that chickenshit.

This is the rightie equivalent to the mainstream "Rittenhouse took weapons across the state lines" crap.

The reason people raise the issues the dead men had, is because it supports the view that they were aggressors, not because their past criminality justified their deaths.

Disagree.

There's a theme in rightie reports of the incident that Rittenhouse was "taking out the trash". That's wholly inappropriate in a developed Western democracy with a large police presence and a functioning court system. But also inapt for Huber and Grosskreutz. Neither of whom could be considered "human garbage" by any stretch.

trump attracts supporters from polar opposites of the income spectrum.

The rich because of greed. The poor because of poor education.

Which has nothing to do with the fact that in general Trump won with voters at higher incomes and lost with voters with lower incomes.

My oldest son will be soon 15. Same age as the shooter.

Guess what. I will never buy him a gun.

Gun kills people.

I don't know if I've ever seen someone try to prosecute the parents like this.
About time though. Not your typical privileged righties, but close. Let's see how many knee jerks spring to their defense. Lots more relevant than Nottingham or somewhere...
