The reason this usually comes up is wrt the strut that KR is going to sue the shit out of CNN and make millions $$$$. There are photos of him giving the white power salute with the Proud Boys (already posted SEVERAL times). And now clouting the girl. There's probably more shit out there as well.

He'd end up looking pretty seedy if he went to trial civilly with all that shit on him. Wouldn't you agree?
Rittenhouse claims otherwise

Rittenhouse blames former lawyers for meeting with members of the Proud Boys at a bar (yahoo.com)

Interesting.

I'm not sure whether Wood has a close affiliation w the Proud Boys or not. I have never noted that he does. He's more of a QAnon wacko grifter. And Kyle was certainly flashing the White Power Hand in those photos. And I didn't see Wood or any other handlers in those shots.

KR is being "cleaned up" now in order to market him. A lot of that involves Kyle stating that he is not anti BLM, etc. He's the new "benign and lovable" Kyle. The clean-cut all American boy who scrubbed graffiti off the walls. That's the hook.

If you want to "stop" a fight, how is throwing punches a way to stop it? Especially as it could hurt one of the two girls involved. The others in the group seem to be trying to separate the two involved in that fight. All he was doing was throwing punches. But then the right wing media like Carlson and others like Trump were painting Rittenhouse as a hero. Really, with someone involved in such hideous acts as punching some girl? But why are you trying to make excuses for him throwing those punches when there are other ways to stop a fight?
I see your outrage . Had nothing to do with the trial . I wasn't there nor were you . So we do not know what was going on . I'm sure CNN would have an in-depth report if there was something to bite into .

You have a short video of a fight . By now CNN have dug deep into KR . If there was any dirt it would have been all over the news by now .

Strange because you don't seem to apply the "crimes proven in court" to the guys Kyle shot.
The gun with the gun was a felon . It was brought up in court . He is prohibited from owning firearms . So he shouldn't of had the gun in the first place. He was given immunity to testify .

Most 17 year old boys don't get video-ed beating up girls. Or even close. He's a girl-puncher. He's obsessed with guns. He hangs out on rightie internet sites. He loves the Proud Boys and gives the white power hand. And he dropped out of high school.

He'll clean up okay and he'll be paraded before receptive audiences for a couple of years. And then his handlers will move on and leave him on the side of the road.

You are going at a tangent!! First you wanted proof that he slapped and punched a girl on the street. In spite of telling you to Google it you insisted on I posting it for your convenience. Now where did I say it was anything to do with the trial in the court house? All I am stating is that he is being portrayed as a hero by Tucker Carlson / Trump and the usual right wingers in spite of punching a girl on the street. It was in comparison to Greta Thunberg who, was being slammed by the right wingers for not being at school and instead being part of leading the protests on Climate Change and the urgency to address it. She was not involved in any such violence including the killings of anyone or violence against other individuals. Yet they praise a high school drop out who was responsible for all I listed above. That is hypocritical!! So go back to that post and look at your response to it!!

Yes you are right . All this has been reported on CNN . How could I have been so wrong .

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Greece

Here our hero gives another interview.

He says he has no interest in politics and will not accept any internship that has been offered to him. Said he doesn't want to be used for a cause. He has enrolled at Arizona State where he hopes to take nursing.

Also says he fired his past lawyers because of their Qanon Beliefs and election fraud statements. He calls them insane.

Goes on to state that his formers attorneys set up the meeting with the proud boys in the bar. He didn't even know what the ''okay'' symbol signified at the time. He was told at the time that the guys in the bar were going to help him with his security. Said when he found out who they were he didn't want anything to do with them.

Says if he could go back he would have stayed home that night.

He thinks this case had nothing to do with race and everything to do with self defense.

He believes everybody has the right to peacefully protest for change. On Tucker Carlson he supported BLM.

He has retained civil attorneys to handle any potential lawsuits he might have going forward.

Man he is composed. I like at the end where he says he learned he's a lot stronger than he thought......

You don't get to decide who gets "taken out", "thug" or not. That's fucked up. Even if I light 100 cars on fire, that doesn't = deserving to die. People with your mentality are why people are getting killed.

Rittenhouse is a dumb kid, no question about it. Took a
dumb kid to do the dirty work smart people wouldn't
want to do by themselves. If there was a dumb kid
like Rittenhouse doing the dirty job of taking out a few
thugs in some of our past hockey riots he too would
have been welcomed at least by those whose cars were
burnt and shops smashed.

If you light 100 cars and then chase off someone touting a gun
do you still deserve to die? You will also be worthy of a Darwin
award after you get killed.

So if I decide to walk around with a gun during a riot, and someone who is unarmed hits me with a skateboard, I can kill them?

Deadly force is only supposed to be used when you are in fear for your life, not an asskicking. Kyle was afraid of a buttkicking or a black eye.

He was being pursued AFTER he was witnessed murdering someone.

Thank god not everyone in the riot was armed, because everyone would feel threatened at some point and everyone would be dead.

I thought the defence he used was only allowed if you are not already in the comission of a crime? Which he was.

No kid should be walking around with a gun, especially an assault rifle, during a riot.

I think the ruling in this case is going to cause a shitstorm of problems for the US now. It has set a precedent, a bad one.

Those were points that were made during Chris Cuomo's interview w the defence attorney. CC made the point that WI changed its self-defence laws. Under WI law, you now just have to prove that the accused SUBJECTIVELY feared for his life or serious injury. Previously, the accused also had to prove that those views were objectively REASONABLE.

CC also brought up the same issue you did. If Rosenbaum was just going to take KR's gun and beat him up, does KR have the right to kill Rosenbaum.

These are good points. OTOH, I think KR might have objectively reasonably feared for his life. Being wacked to the ground with a skateboard isn't trival and would suggest to me that I was going to be seriously beaten and injured. Ditto Grosskreutz's pointing a pistol at me.
