Anyone else see F9 and or Blck Widow this weekend? Both were fantastic and should only be seen on the theater as all good action movies.

Glad you enjoyed them, Black Widow was flawed but watching ScarJo and Flower work together was a total thrill ride. If I hadn't seen Vanishing Point, I might be able to get into the cartoon stunts of the Fast franchise. In other news, it looks like Snake Eyes will be a bomb. I loved Samara Weaving in Ready or Not, her latest looks like a temporary stall.
Her next film is with Damien Chazelle (Whiplash), I liked that film but hated La La Land and passed on First Man. His next film is Babylon, fronted by Samara and Margot Robbie.
Why does she look like a crack head?

Ever since they gave the boot to ATT, Warner Media has the wind in it's sails. I've already mentioned that they are scoring high ratings from their airing of AEW on TNT. They merged with Discovery Inc bringing channels like Food Network, HGTV, Motortrend and Animal Planet under their umbrella.
Now audiences are raving about The Suicide Squad sequel. That's not that big of a surprise, all they had to do was get rid of Will Smith's gargantuan ego and the rest would fall into place. Dumping ATT's mega wokeness doesn't hurt either. They cout the title to Margot Robbie's, Harley Quinn film to just Birds of Prey. Nobody wanted to watch it when it was called The Fantabulous Emancipation of one Harley Quinn.... get the funk out!

Meanwhile Disney are going Ice Dude, they're charging $30.00 a pop for their first run films on Disney +. And they are grabbin Kevin Feige's ass and he's not thrilled about it.
Cineplex VIP is really a great experience with leather recliners and alcohol service. Lots of room too. Highly recommended for a date night!

Some are working to get the shows going in October 2021, and others are waiting for Sept 2022, hoping by then that there will be no spacing restrictions between patrons.
A number of small companies have been staging events on Zoom, and others are holding small cast performances mid day outdoors in parks and residential back yards in front of small groups of patrons.
We are involved with a number of community theatre companies around the GTA.
Some are working to get the shows going in October 2021, and others are waiting for Sept 2022, hoping by then that there will be no spacing restrictions between patrons.

I watched Free Guy, it's fluff but an entertaining confection. I'm indifferent to Ryan Reynolds but I love Jodie Comer, specifically Villanelle (Killing Eve). She's wonderful, and she's getting to work in a Ridley Scott film next. Of course I got lots of feedback from the peanut gallery feigning not knowing who she was.

I enjoyed it for what it was, I'm not expecting depth and crisis from Ryan Reynolds. Jodie Comer was excellent as rogue software, she's sooooo good!
