I get what you saying-ish but it is not my responsibility to feed the world and it is not Bezos either.

Everyone has access to offshore accounts and loop-holes, etc. I use as many tax savings and loopholes I can because they are available to me. It is not MY fault. Should I not use them because some one else’s accountant didn’t do it for them? Should I not use them because retail workers can’t? At what point am I able to live my life with all I have done.

Do I think taxes should be higher for the billionaires of the world? Sure, but I don’t blame them because their business model worked out better for them in the pandemic. Just so like I don’t feel guilty that my business model worked out better during the pandemic. I was able to lose the expense of a physical office, I was able to devote more time at home while still make cash, I was able to finally get back to escorting and now I can tour like I enjoy because I can work remote. None of that would have happened without this pandemic. Do I feel for those who were survival sex workers and had to risk their health to go out and work? Of course, but do I feel shame that I didn’t have to? No. Why should I?

I feel bad for many people in the world, but I am not taking them on as my responsibility. I donate when I can and what I can, but I am still going to take care of me first. Just because someone is better off in life then you doesn’t mean they should be sharing with you. He gives more to charities then so many others, that is being a good billionaire, but it is not his responsibility to fix the worlds financial problems.

IF you want to blame, go to your local politician. They set minimum wage, they set the tax rules, they set the loopholes. So go to them, use your vote, but to blame billionaires for using what is available to them and everyone else in world, is just too much.
I've got news for you - if you are using illegal loop holes for tax avoidance, you're breaking the law - whether sanctioned by your "accountant" or not. Pay the taxes you owe, not a penny more, not a penny less.

I see you're an American. :) Welcome.

Higher minimum wage seems to be part of the answer, much as my free market upbringing chafes at the thought. Arguably it raises output costs and prices, but honestly it's negligible and Henry Ford always had a good point - my workers should be able to afford my cars.

Universal Basic Income is sort of interesting, but it gets pilloried every time it arises. Andrew Yang would have been interesting in NYC, but we'll never know.

It DOES seem to be true in the US that high COVID benefits has deterred service workers from returning. Maybe waiting tables always sucked, but it had a place and a role in the career paths of many newcomers to the workplace.
I'm actually Canadian lol

Higher minimum wage is a bandaid. While I think it's necessary, an over-reliance on it indicates a much broader issue. Continually raising it just taxes the middle class even more.
We need to either address the foundational issues, which is very doable through progressive tax systems and less reliance on cheap, foreign goods, or we need to come up with a radical solution like universal income which is contrary to Western ideology IMO, but could nonetheless prove to be a solution to provide everyone with basic sustenance.

Where did I say I was using any illegal loopholes??? We are specially talking legal stuff here. That is the whole debate.

Try to stay on topic.

Semantics, I guess. I inferred that you were using tax evasion strategies, rather than tax avoidance strategies. I guess when someone writes, like you did, "everyone uses offshore accounts", I figure they're normalizing illegal loopholes. Oh, and I apologize for not staying on your topic. Geez, that's too bad that someone raised a point.

Jen.... with all due respect. We are not talking about the same things. A home office and keeping receipts for meals vs off shore tax havens... 2 different worlds.

Note... one building is home to over 18,000 companies. As per you earlier request... no, I am not naming them all.

So again, go after the government. They are the ones setting the rules.

Why are you blaming those who are just working within the rules. (Since I have to spell out legally apparently.)

Hiding money in off shore tax havens is not always legal...

I do go after the Gov't....

I also try to drum up support amongst the locals. My efforts go nowhere if good people like yourself don't back me up.

There are plenty of reasons to vote and some things out weigh others. I would focus more on healthcare for example. So if that is the platform being run, I will take it. Sorry.

Why do you keep speaking as if you know what you’re talking about? First you say that anyone can utilize an offshore account and then how no one is speaking about illegal tax evasion. Well guess what sweetheart offshore accounts in tax havens in the past have been connected to money laundering and all sorts of illegal tax evasion. Stick to what you know best sweetheart which is sucking dick. Let the CPAs handle it when it comes to taxation because you’re just out here spreading misinformation.

First we have been talking all types of tax shit. Heavens, loopholes, tax breaks. All we were talking at first was just extra tax for the rich because they are not stopping world hunger. So plenty as been talked about, from myself and others. Not just offshore accounts booboo.

Second having offshore accounts have been connected to some - yes but simply having an account doesn’t automatically mean illegal. It’s an account. That is all. Plenty of people have bank accounts here and do nothing but put cash it. Then others put cash in from under the table jobs. Like tradesmen who make over 100K and still do side job hustles avoiding taxes altogether.

At least I pay taxes. On my mainstream business which is a corporation, and on my dick sucking.

Jealous much? I think so. How bunched are those pink panties now? Probably all up in your ass. Better get pickin’ LMAO.

Laters pumpkin. You are boring and bitter. and I need to laugh all the way to the bank with my cash in hand. LMAO.

That's a great point about some people in the trades. We can't get people to work weekends because most of the guys are up to their necks in private jobs on the weekends. Cash or other non taxable considerations. There's a whole economy out there based on the illegal tax avoidance. But, sure let's talk billionaires.

Lmao you just proved my point dumb ass. What you just described is tax evasion. Show me that you don’t know what you’re talking about without saying you don’t know what you’re talking about 😂

edit: I’m sitting here laughing while some fat uneducated whore tries to speak about the tax system 😂😂

Yup. You got me. Wrote that wrong and missed some words between my sentence. Hence why my next line was “at least I pay my taxes”.

Have no problem admitting that mistake. Meant to make the distinction between those who simply put cash in an account but not illegally and those who do.

I put cash in my account. I pay taxes if it is from a sale. Others will put cash in an account from a sale and do not. The account is not the point. It is the people and how they are using them.

That was my point. I will go back and edit because that is why they have the button after all. For when someone makes a mistake.

Making a typing mistake is not the same as not having knowledge. I was typing a lot of things this morning and fucked up this sentence. It happens. Clearly most got the point but doesn’t surprise me that you didn’t.

However, the fact that you get so much joy out someone’s typing mistakes says a whole shit load more about you then my simple mistake. It’s a fucking forum, not an essay. LOL.

So go back to be being bitter and butthurt booboo. Unwad those pink panties. You didn’t do anything but point out a typing mistake easily corrected. Same can’t be said for your attitude. LMAO.

Not in the slightest. Why would I be?

Not the first time nor the last time that I have been wrong, written something wrong or understood something wrong on this board. Like who gets mad at that? Besides maybe someone like you.

Seems you’re mad though. You’ve been butthurt this whole thread. Sad really.

But moving on….

Well then we need more Canadians like you *lol*

The only time governments get to try much of anything is when they control the government completely, usually for very short periods. Obama got healthcare thru in the first two years and that was about it. Now the Democrats are wasting time on silly staged hearings, although they're going to at least ram thru the "infrastructure" plan.

It was actually kind of nice to see Federal Liberals, Provincial Conservatives, and John Tory work more or less together during COVID.

But probably everyone but Tory gets tossed out in the next elections, so we'll see where we'll end up. I'd be up for trying UBI but the parties that are into that (NDP, Green) are otherwise anti-business and the pro-business Conservatives can't shake the white guys from out West image.

How about a system that's just fair instead, and doesn't require you to 'play' it?
The obvious problem is "fair" is totally arbitrary. The other problem is that you have to dedicate huge resources to control that "fairness", which seldom works.

Phil also said that one has to "work" the system, not "play" the system. They are similar, but also subtly different. Working the system is exactly what Bezos, etc do. They create businesses that employ people, which create opportunities for others. All while paying payroll, corporate and other taxes. They are not the same as Pablo Escobar running illicit operations from inside prison, murdering people and burying cash in the ground.
