Actually, I was wrong. Caster Oyl is Olive's brother; Cole Oyl is her father. I don't think either of them appeared in a Popeye cartoon, I think they're both Thimble Theatre newspaper comic characters.
The 1986-92 newpaper Popeye strip written and drawn by Bobby London was really good. I have a paperback collection of some of the dailies, (Mondo Popeye). Bobby also did the Dirty Duck strip in 1970's National Lampoon.
What organization claimed to have invented tea parties, Tupperware parties, shoe sales, soap operas, feminism, stagettes and a day at the spa?
