I burned my favourite jockstrap this morning as a peace offering to the Hockey Gods. Hope that helps to-night.

A team can have the best system, blueprint, game plan, template, etc. but it still comes down to the players to execute.

I think moving Josh Anderson to the Suzuki line makes a lot of sense. Josh is a speedy 6'3" 226 lbs power forward who enjoys hitting people. Suzuki and Caufield are finesse players. On the first goal, Suzuki skillfully passed the puck to an onrushing Anderson. In OT, Anderson used his speed to pass by the Lightning defender and then passed the puck to Caufield who was stymied by a couple of defenders. Then Anderson came back from behind the goal line to fire the puck into the net.

(There was also an earlier play in OT where Danault passed the puck to Suzuki in front of the Lightning net which did not result in a goal.)

Here's hoping.......Pretty please with sugar on top..........Crossing fingers.
You have to make an offering to the Hockey Gods. Maybe burn your favourite hockey stick. LOL!

Seriously, the Habs have a tough hill to climb. I'm being realistic. I actually went to the HHOF, after I left the nude beach, on Saturday to get down on both knees to touch the Stanley Cup (actually replica) and plea for good fortune for the Habs. The damn HOF was closed. I only got as far as the closed front door.

It’s more than likely than not that it’s over tonight… but they keep surprising us.

Whether it’s over or not tonight it’s been a great run and accomplishment no matter what.

Tampa’s big advantage vs prior opponents is the quality of their third and fourth line which have been very strong through 4. Not only have they produced but they have played our defence hard which has led to extra turnovers. They have been crucial.

Montreal has been OK at containing the top 2 lines of Tampa including the power play.

The 3rd and 4th lines of Toronto and Vegas didn’t even come close to Tampa. Toronto has some goals from players such as Spezza but they do not play a hard game. Vegas forwards had no production.

Toronto was up 3-1 and lost game 7...it’s not like they were completely outclassed.

Tampa has last change (home game). I wonder if Montreal will go with just 3 lines to-night. The Suzuki line is young so it shouldn't be a problem if they play more than 20 minutes. It's another must win game.

Brian Burke before the season said the Habs are best suited for the playoffs. If he's such a genius why did he suck as Leafs GM?

You think being 24th and 18th in the regular season hoping to get lucky to make the playoffs is a good strategy

Jealousy/envy, one of the deadly sins. A common trait of losers.
darts clearly knows about classic loser talk:
Reports from the field is that the NHL will take "a look" at the cap rule for the playoffs.

Refereeing was atrocious. Anderson gets pulled down on a partial breakaway and no penalty or penalty shot. Bush league.

Social media critical of what the Bolts did. Meanwhile Kucherov acting like a sore winner.
