If you ignore all standard nutritional advice, yes, yes it is.
Please tell me which specific ingredients you oppose.

I don't recall standard nutritional advice opposing meat, lettuce, tomatoes pickles, onions, eggs. Or even bread.

There is this silliness that a BIG MAC somehow has nutritional qualities that are terrible in spite of the ingredients being mnostly OK.

Yes, most main meals are at least of your daily calories.
If the Grande Big Mac value meal is your lunch, you are guaranteed to become overweight.

I believe that the facts laid obout below disprove your "Total Nonsense" snip.

Also, one slice of pizza is being compared to a big - mac - I don't think anyone considers one slice of pizza a meal. To get the same protein you would need about 2.5 slices of pizza, and then the2.5 slices of pizza has :

625 Calories
72.5 g of carbs
23 g of fat
1525 g salt.
A) why would you use some random website instead of just randomly picking an actual website (since both US & CA have strict rules for reporting)
B) even weirder the numbers you quoted do not match what the website you linked says???
There is no pizza slice with anywhere near "625 calories" lol and this is from YOUR link !

Whatever comes on a thick crust "seafood" pizza is by far most cals at 334, well below a single Big Mac

Ironically your website agrees with the numbers I quoted above as well

Sooooooo,,, not ONE person actually addressed my comment.

WHICH SPECIFIC INGREDIENT in a big mac - not sugary drinks, or fries, which I DID NOT DISCUSS - nor is it the focus of this thread - - (hello!? - please tell me how Starbucks or Tim Hortons or Harveys has LESS sugar than McDonalds?)

is unacceptable.
No its been addressed you just choose to ignore it

Even more funny since your own links disprove the argument you are trying to make

Glad someone mentioned it. By far the best of the McD, BK, Harvey's burger chains.
A&W keep fucking up my order recently and their pies are still sold hours after the expired date which makes me wonder what else is going behind the scenes.

I know a guy... it's scary. Although I doubt any other place is much better in that regard.

They're franchises. If you don't like service at one, try a different location. As for the burgers themselves, they're the best in my opinion. Also the first and only national burger restaurant in Canada to serve beef raised without the use of hormones or steroids.

I would rather have a hamburger than many servings of salad drenched in dressings that use soybean oil as their main ingredient.

You clearly didn't read my comment about protein per slice of pizza versus a big mac. The big mac has about 2.5 times the protein of an average slice of pizza, contrary to another post. So if you want to compare apples with apples you need to equalize the two items to be compared. So I equalized for protein, so I had to gross up the

Pay attention to what I said. You clearly didn't.

I said:

" Also, one slice of pizza is being compared to a big - mac - I don't think anyone considers one slice of pizza a meal. To get the same protein you would need about 2.5 slices of pizza, and then the2.5 slices of pizza has"

etc etc. I multiplied the pizza numbers by 2.5 to compare it to the big mac's equivalent amount, so that you are now comparing 2 entities with the same amount of protein.

So I never said that one slice of pizza has 625 calories, I compared like with like.

You DO realize you have to do that, right? To compare two things in this fashion you need to normalize something, and since the writer was talking about protein, I talked about protein.

In the same way, if you were comparing macaroni to as a main course to battered fish, you would not take the values for one individual piece of macaroni and compare it to a large piece of fish.

For main courses, we could compare things on a per calorie basis, per g of protein or any other basis, but you cant compare a slice of pizza to a big mac without altering the quantity.

Please refer to my post where I normalized for protein.

Otherwise I can just say that 500 pounds of kale has more calories than a big mac. Meaningless.

Equalize on calories, or protein, or anything else, then multiply by a correct factor to get an equalized version.

God, I specifically explained it, I guess you are prone to just glossing over things too quickly.

Yes I know Mickey's is c grade anyway but always liked a Big Mac, ate a few a year. Tonight my friend and I decide to go for the Grande one just out. WHAT A FUCKING RIP OFF!!! We both had one so we could compare, the burger patties were 1/8" thick, both sandwiches or 4 patties to compare. In other words no extra beef which is the costliest item, they just squish a regular pattie down to cover more area. Oh yes; bigger bun; an extra pickle and squirt of sauce but thats it and the fucks charge over $2 for this one vs a regular one

McDonald's, fuck you!!! I will NEVER use your establishments again, and the more people I can warn about this scam, the better, terbites join the fight against this kind of consumer rip!
This was the size of the regular BM in Germany, but they made it with quarter pounder parties. Best BM I ever had, I agree with you about your assessment. I purchased it thinking finally the German BM is here only to be served with the crap you described.

In Mac's defense I believe the country you are in makes a huge difference. I have been to some Mac's around the world where they come to your car with umbrellas when it's raining and the burgers actually look like the photographs.

However for some reason Mac here is always lowering cost on the product to maximize profits.

Their donuts were delicious like everything else when it came out, now they are down to Tim's quality and 1/3 the size of a regular Tim's donut at almost twice the price.

I would. I have definitely had days where all I ate was a Big MAc.

Please explain to my why a meal of cheese hors d'oeuvres, rolls, salad consisting of lettuce, onion, tomato, with a mayo dressing, and meatloaf is different and better for you than a Big Mac with the same essential ingredients.

Next time at McD's order a double cheeseburger and ask for big mac sauce on it. It is exactly like a Big Mac (save for the third bun) but half the price.
interesting!

Not sure where you got those stats but McDonalds own website does show higher of protein, I sure it is accurate (eye roll), doesnt mean all beef, there are other ingredients in there that are sources
The calories mostly come from drowning the crap in sauce and , the way larger bun
they say bigger patties defined as more weight prior to cooking, like I said patties 1/8 inch thick, more weight could mean a gram, it is still more weight but squished super thin to cover more area

Instead of trolling accusations, try and get the point of the thread, it is a consumer rip off!
Yeah, McDonalds got to where they are today by ripping people off.

(and again, the "special sauce" just tastes bad; millions of healthier alternatives)
Well, clearly , since the Big MAc is the best selling burger of all time, many many people disagree with you.
