So overall not a terrible food, far far better than pizza, or almost anything you can get a Starbucks or Tim Hortons, but , damn, everyone loves to rail againgst the burger.

Basic ingredients:
Bread - OK, this is the one ingredient that I actually feel is unhealthy, but there are a zillion other foods that are basically pure bread that no-one ever attacks.
Meat. Meat is healthy, especially when you combine meat with animal fat.
Tomatoes, lettuce, onions pickles - any objections?
Special sauce (mayo) - eggs, vinegar - not bad, probably made with soybean oil, which I think is unhealthy, but overall not bad.
Ketchup. Tomatoes, vinegar, sugar. Lots of sugar, which ain't good, but in total on one burger not too much.
Cheese. Dairy, fat and protein, good.

Yeah, McDonalds got to where it is today by ripping people off. Right.Yes I know Mickey's is c grade anyway but always liked a Big Mac, ate a few a year. Tonight my friend and I decide to go for the Grande one just out. WHAT A FUCKING RIP OFF!!! We both had one so we could compare, the burger patties were 1/8" thick, both sandwiches or 4 patties to compare. In other words no extra beef which is the costliest item, they just squish a regular pattie down to cover more area. Oh yes; bigger bun; an extra pickle and squirt of sauce but thats it and the fucks charge over $2 for this one vs a regular one

Yes, most main meals are at least of your daily calories.A grande big mac value meal has about 1300 calories.
If that is your lunch, that alone is more than half your calorie requirements for the day.

Frozen pizza is an entirely different beast and yes has way more sugars and other junk in it
Pizza also has way higher protein counts than a McD burger (which should tell you something about how bad processed meats / cheese are) and most people (even kids) tend to add veggies to pizza
Plus lots of low carb, gluten free, whole wheat, whatever floats your boat healthier options

A Big Mac is 550 cals for the sandwich alone, 45g of carbs, 30g of fat
And don't forget the 1100+ mg of salt (another huge clue, people salt meats heavily to try and slow down spoilage)
Contrast against a Pizza slice (I just chose all dressed but pick your poison)
250 cals (half a BM)
29g of carbs (and pizza is mostly bread; yet still less than BM)
9g fat (3rd of BM)
610 mg salt (just over half)
Its actually healthier to take a bag of chips from the pizza place than it is to eat the fries from McD as well
And pizza place has way more varieties of drink options (whereas McD is pop dominated)
