Can you please show me the excuses I made. I pointed out numerous reasons, not excuses, why they lost. They would be excuses if I said that they were the better team and deserved to win. But Montreal was the better team in the series. Better coaching, better goaltending and better decision making was what I said.
Am I not allowed to cheer for my team? Am I not allowed to be disappointed that they lost?
The only prediction I made was not even a prediction. I posted that they'd sweep Montreal AFTER I watched them lose game 1. Not sure where the criticism comes from.

It doesn't matter what you say. It matters what you do. No matter what you will continue to watch them, pay for a ticket, wear their merch, display their merch. Be a passive eyeball for their advertising, actively promote them by wearing jerseys in public. Defend or dissect it doesn't matter to them.
You are an unconditional fan. They get everything they want from you no matter what. Ratings, money, and you talking about them. The bean counters only care if you stop doing these things.
Until you do they have no incentive to win.
Me, I didn't watch a game all year. Had to listen to it from friends online. In normal times I will now take the seat with shit sight lines to the bar tv if we are out. No merch displayed. None worn except old ratty for work outside in the yard. They gain nothing from me.
Im basically indifferent except to point out every year around this time and at the beginning of the season the above. They aren't worth it because the owners don't care to win. The Rogers don't care, Bell doesn't care. It was a means to maintain cable packages to them. That's it.
