The reason why the ARR number is low is because we did defend against the virus, if we just let it herd immunity us then the ARR number would be much much higher and SP Free would not be using ARR. It is the same deal with the death rate, it is low because we still had working ICUs, if we were doing herd immunity then the death rate would be much higher.

Says who? Your crystal balls? Yet the USA, Israel, etc, are incredible vaccine successes.
Tens of millions leave the safety of their homes to mingle with others getting vaccinated. What could go wrong, e.g. an untick in infections as a result of all these tens of millions mingling together. BTW, it takes weeks before the vaccine's safety effect kicks in. It has even been suggested that immunity drops immediately after vaccination before its beneficial effects kick in.
