Yours aren’t different but they are stupid...Brady Tkachuk for Nylander and an AHL player, sure, Ottawa will jump on that.

The argument was that I called Sandin an AHL prospect because he was a prospect playing in the AHL and it was countered “No, he’s an NHL prospect”...like what we’re calling him makes any difference.
That may be the case but it’s an assumption because you value Tkachuk‘s talent much more over Nylander and I actually agree with that. Im pretty sure that there are Nylander lovers who wouldn’t make that trade from the Leafs standpoint but that’s besides the point.
I wasn’t even making any trade proposal, I was merely expressing my admiration of a player like Tkachuk and casually mentioned Nylander and Sandin as trade chips. I repeatedly told this guy that but he kept beating down on it with an attitude and used provocative words like “stupid” to make his arguments. It’s his attitude that I have problems with.
Not too one sided...you were saying I don’t know this and I don’t that...you started this by getting bent out of shape for calling Sandin an AHL prospect and I’ve said who cares what he’s called.
I always post in these discussion forums with the same approach that I deal with people in real life, that is, while I have strong opinions on a lot of things, I also respect that others don’t always look at things the same way and am always willing to get into gentlemanly discussions with an open mind and respect. It’s possible that I may over react at times but that’s because I have this attitude that I don’t look for troubles but won’t back away if troubles find me.
In this instance I felt that you offered a challenge with a provocative attitude and I gladly obliged to engage.
gcostanza and I have had different opinions on a few issues, he prefers players like Nylander and a more like ballet dancing style of hockey while I’m more accustomed to a more rugged and physical style, especially in the playoffs. I have no troubles in debating with him though as I never felt any kind of disrespect in our engagements. I only have problems with guys who have the attitude that those who they don’t agree with are stupid, make things up to make a point and silly and obnoxious mockeries and sarcasm rather than debating the issues in a gentlemanly manner.

I didn't make anything up...I tried debating you but you went out of your mind with a silly word game...we were talking about the same player but you got bent out of shape that I called him an AHL prospect...than you called me a liar for deleting a post that I showed to you, twice, that wasn't deleted...

Hey Antoski, I would re-read some of the nonsense you believe in...like you didn't see anything wrong with the Kadri hit, a complete blindside check to the head, that resulted in an 8-game suspension...and you didn't think there was anything in the rules against that...anybody that knows anything knows that hit was illegal.
We do have differing opinions on a few issues.
For instance, I wouldn't say I like a ballet dancing style of hockey, but, I am more interested in watching skilled players work their magic than watching guys run other players. I'd rather watch Pavel Bure & Mike Bossy play hockey than Clark Gillies & Darryl Sutter.

That you think “Nylander and Sandin for Tkachuk is a STUPID trade proposal“ and “That Ottawa would not make that trade“ is not worthy of debates because those are just your assumptions and opinions. You’re entitled to yours and the issue I have is you called others silly and stupid.
You claimed to know hockey more than I do yet you didn’t know what the AHL is for, you claimed “if Sandin’s any good he’d be playing in the NHL”. That showed that you’re ignorant to the fact that a lot of great players had played in the AHL before they’re ready for the NHL.
NHL prospects are often used in major nhl trades while an “AHL prospect”, if such is in existence, has zero trade value. If you don’t understand that basic and simple difference, what‘s the point in getting into any meaningful discussions with you ?

‘We sure have different preferences and I respect that. I only have problems with those who think theirs are the only opinions that count and others are stupid.
Btw I do enjoy watching skilled players and you need them to win, it’s just that I believe intimidation is still part of the game and you need that physical presence to neutralize that for your skilled guys to perform their best. There’s also the need of gritty and physical players to make the other team‘s skilled feel less comfortable playing against you. Somehow that got twisted into “I don’t like skills” by one poster.

-and yes AHL players can be used in trades, but not much when you’re trying to acquire another teams best player...
- you need to get off the NHL/AHL prospect label, every AHLer has a chance to play in the NHL.
I’ve had beers with NHL players, and been in meetings with them before they played NHL hockey...and I don’t fight, I’m way to pretty.
