And, of course, the "fact checkers" also needed evidence that it was "liar, liar pants on fire"- which they didn't have. But, we did have a Chinese doctor and a whistleblower Dr. Li Meng Yan- back in September. Of course you didn't see it. Oh, btw. There were others. But, since it was declared a "conspiracy", no one gave it a look. No one looked at the actual claims. I will let you explain the logic behind that approach, since you seem to be an expert on logic and things logical.

See? And this is the problem. The doctor in question is NOT an associate of Bannon any more than she's an associate of Tucker Carlson. She used those outlets to get her story out. And you and the rest of the hysterical media passed a judgement on her and her qualifications based on that. So, the info was out there and it was your prejudice that prevented you from seeing it.,

Don't have to spin. The move was ineffective, because it didn't stop people from going from China to the US via alternate routes, like Europe.

Trump is going to be remembered as the WORST President the US has ever seen. Half a million people died on his watch because he dithered with the virus. I'm not saying everything he did was bad, he did help get a vaccine developed quickly. But nearly everything else he did will become a case study in what not to do in the face of a crisis.

You may try to revise his record, of gaslight people about how great a leader he was. In reality, he was a sad, pathetic liar how was so far out of his depth that he made nearly every situation he dealt with worse in some way.

Well, Trudeau isn't the greatest, that's for sure. He's been in far too many ethical scandals, and his handling of the pandemic has been up and down. But he never politicized it. Others tried. And he moved quickly to try and get people, businesses and landlords relief quickly. And if you compare the number of deaths on a per capita basis, Canada is miles ahead of the US. It isn't even close. I mean, there have been under 26K in Canada and nearly 600K in the US. If we roughly calculate what that would be (divided by 100), you get around 60K, more than double Canadas. So, Trudeau (and credit must go to the premiers as well) for keeping the deaths low. Could they have done a better job? Of course. As we've seen, the disaster in the long term care homes is just incredible. Shocking and disgusting. However, that's a provincial issue.

So, again, you really can't spin what an abysmal job Trump and his cronies did. They downplayed it, which gave air to all sorts of stupid conspiracy theories and beliefs that the virus wasn't that really, or just as deadly as the flu, or would disappear like magic. These are things Trump and other GOP leaders said. They also refused to lockdown things in some mistaken belief they could achieve herd immunity.

Let me be clear here: it would not matter who was PM or President back in February/March. There would be deaths in both Canada and the US due to COVID. But its hard to argue that our response was worse than the US. Statistically speaking, we managed well.

A person who knows these things well told me that Canada is only like 3 weeks behind the US in vaccinations. The difference is the US promotes when they place an order for the doses, not when they physically get it. Canada does the opposite, but I suspect they are doing this because they had promised shipments delayed back in March.

Now, we do know that you loves you some mass murdering, bombing and terrorizing, but you'll have to tone it down and realize that when you get sick its just a disease.
Unless you say, refuse to vaccinate half your population or take care of them, its not murder.

Yes, in the rational world if you claim something happened you need evidence. Still waiting for any evidence that this was an intentional act like trump was suggesting or even an accidental release.
