So the ever increasing numbers of vaccinated, covid survivors with immunity & warmer weather are working. Hallelujah.
Meanwhile, back in Canada, & much of the rest of the world, masks are continuing to save lives, just as they have since the covid19 pandemic arrived! Yahoo!

Originally it was thought that Covid-19 being a respiratory virus would follow patterns analogous to the annual flu season in North America which seems to have been painfully disproved."

This Is a global pandemic and not over until it is eradicated everywhere, not just America. Hopefully America continuous to see declining numbers but quite possibly new more virulent, current vaccine resistant strains will work themselves through countries that have had high double vaccine rates to date.
The article didn't offer an explanation for his statement. Flu tends to be more of a problem in winter than summer. With covid19 it is thought being outdoors, which is more likely in summer than winter, is like 20X safer re infection than being in an indoor poorly ventilated area.
Of course the dry air and indoor time would be factors here compared to the ample outdoor space we have in summer.
Of course India has a few more people in a little smaller territory.
