This series is war, it will be 6 or 7 games. The habs should be happy to get the split from Toronto. The pressure is on the Leafs to get at least a split from Montreal.

The Leafs caught a real break, Tavares's injuries could have been much worse. I suspect that his knee injury was due to the training staff not cradling his head as he slumped backwards.
The Leafs cannot allow the Canadiens to prolong the series - the Jets will sweep the Oilers. In Montreal they have to play Jacques Lamaire hockey, trap, trap. trap. With Bogosian and Hyman back that shouldn't be a problem. The Habs are a fast break team, like the Leafs were in 2018, take the neutral zone away from them.

Matthews has matured, maybe the flashing incident smartened him up. He knows what's expected of him if he wants to eventually wear the C.

He will end up being over priced because of the length of his contract, but the score wasn't indicative of how he played last night. He still played well.

Leafs won't get 6 PPs next game. But the Leafs are good with 5 on 5. They just need to stay out of the box.
Leafs usually have a weak 3rd line for the playoffs but Micky and Engvall played well last game. Kerfoot also.
I just didn't think that it mattered to the debate...but...my coaching resume gives me a more credible view than being Antoski's punching bag.
