No proven, safe and effective vaccines used in the past has come to market this quickly.
Safety of this vaccine has not been proven like others that are the norm.
People are desperate and confused.
They are at their most vulnerable and malleable.

It’s already been established that employers cannot force their employees to get vaccinated.
By who?

In Canada, I anticipate that people are going to get fired if they don't vaccinate.

Guess you are unmalleable?? Scientists and specialists in the field know nothing!!! Let's listen to mechanics, douchebags and guys slinging parcels in an Amazon warehouse driving a forklift about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines, Awesome, fantastic!

Go ahead and hold off until you're forced at work or want to travel or maybe stay in a hotel? The unwashed will inherit the earth thingy bullshit and mantra? LMAO

In the US employers can terminate staff who refuse to get vaccinated. No signs of that happening up here. I recently finished 3 months of maintenance work at a City of Hamilton run LTC home and was surprised at the number of staff that wouldn’t get vaccinated. I however took advantage of the offer to be vaccinated as I was going to be at the home for 3 months. As a part time City of Hamilton employee I have seen nor heard of any attempt by the City to force vaccinations on staff. They of course encourage us all but have stated they won’t force anyone, I don’t think they want to deal with the backlash.

This is mainly due to the shortage of vaccines. When there is an abundance and depending on if they feel herd immunity has been met or not there will be the push to enforce vaccination. They've done it in the school system for as long as I can remember.

But everyone is shopping now without vaccinations so that argument won’t hold.
Shopping with protection. So it is neither provide proof of shot or wear protections. Those options can totally be given. You can't be forced to take the needle but you can be required to wear protective equipment.

If I still had an office, that would be my route if I could. Don't want the shot, no problem but then you still wear a mask inside.

I'm delaying it until I can get a jab that's not AstraZeneca. I'm recovering from a heart attack, the surgeon was blunt with his message. Not going to take the chance of a blood clot, then I'll be like the Yankees announcer, "See ya".

This is a fair point. You may get your hands on a Pfizer or Moderna in May as the supply is ramping up.

"How was the COVID-19 vaccine developed so quickly?

In the past, vaccines have taken many years to develop. However, the relatively quick development of this vaccine does not mean safety measures were skipped. There are several reasons why the COVID-19 vaccines were developed faster than other vaccines:

  • The technologies used to develop the COVID-19 vaccines have been years in development to prepare for outbreaks of infectious viruses. The manufacturing processes were ready very early in the pandemic.
  • Countries shared genetic information about the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus when it was available, which gave vaccine developers an early start at finding a vaccine.
  • The testing processes for the vaccines didn’t skip any steps, but the vaccine developers conducted some stages of the process simultaneously to gather as much data as quickly as possible.
  • Governments gave money to vaccine developers in advance, so the companies had resources they needed.
  • Some types of COVID-19 vaccines were created using messenger RNA (mRNA), a new technology that allows a faster approach than the traditional way vaccines are made.
  • Social media enabled companies to reach out to and enroll study volunteers, and plenty of people wanted to help, so there were enough research participants to test the COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Because the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is so contagious and widespread, many volunteers who got the vaccine were exposed to the virus, and with so many exposures, the trials took a shorter time to see if the vaccine worked.
  • Companies began manufacturing vaccines ahead of their authorization or approval so some supplies would be ready if authorization occurred.

If you already had a heart attack you probably qualified as being a member of a high risk group and could have pre registered almost month ago with your health unit. From talking to a friend who got it done he did say in his region it was poorly communicated but he did eventually find it online and through a call.

High risk groups were going through clinics and booked outside of the provincial system. And would have received a Pfizer shot

Safety of this vaccine has not been proven like others that are the norm.
The evidence shows that covid-19 vaccines will likely save millions of lives. So why wait to get vaccinated?

The evidence shows that getting covid-19 is not safe & people are far safer after being vaccinated. So why wait to get vaccinated?

No vaccine is 100% safe, but any of the covid-19 vaccines being used in Canada are safer than being unvaccinated. So why wait to get vaccinated?

The results so far have proven that the vaccines are safe and effective and came out this quickly due to previous studies on these types of vaccines. They are not starting from scratch.

You seem desperate to confuse people.

I'm not sure the vaccine is good enough
Hey Christoferfer, humour us. What's your other user name?

Not sure if it's good enough? On January 17th. 2021, Israel had a 7 day average of 8,190 new COVID cases with a 7 day average of 8,624. Shortly after they started vaccinating their population. On May 2nd. they had 73 new cases with a 7 day average of 76.

Can't wait for your second post.

Are they now only counting symptomatic cases? And only counting death by covid not death with covid? Amazing what happens when they change how things are counted.

For those anti-vaxxers, the way for them to get travel privileges is to provide negative covid tests. I know, I know, we can't trust those deplorable people to be truthful as they are likely to provide forged documents. But all international airports should have rapid covid test. But it is a compromise for those who can't get vaccinated.

The emergence of covid 19 has changed the lives of almost everyone. In my opinion, the work has become more difficult due to numerous restrictions. Unfortunately, employees of many institutions are forced to undergo vaccination. I don't know what you think, but I personally find this fact very upsetting. I do not want to get vaccinated, but I am always in touch with the doctor, using the medical card in the https://www.iinsight.biz/ software, in case of ill health. I think it is very important to be constantly under the supervision of a doctor, especially if you have a serious illness.
I absolutely agree with you
