We are still early in this pandemic, the future is still uncertain, in fact the only certainty seems to be momentous unprecedented change. Only approximately something like 6% of the world’s population has been vaccinated and a significant amount of the world will never get vaccinated either by choice or by circumstances beyond their control.
Canada is now precariously close to becoming a “hotspot” if not already. Those in Toronto should drive past Sunnybrook Hospital to see the ominous Field Hospital and military presence or downtown to see how many store front businesses that have vanished.
It is still not clear if the vaccinated individuals will continue to enjoy protection from the worst that COVID-19 offers although early indicators look promising. This time next year the picture is likely to look much different than today, hopefully for the better.
The pandemic will hasten China overtaking America as the number one global economy. China is expanding their foreign infrastructure through construction projects, loans and medical aid although their vaccines by their own admission for the COVID-19 vaccines are currently sub-therapeutic. China is poised to become a key player in the exclusive Paris Club. All of this is happening as America contracts abroad.
This current pandemic is perhaps overhyped and is not expected to wipe out the human race. However still many will die increasingly premature deaths The pandemic is still on track to reset and eliminate some economies, travel, leisure activities supply chains and human migration patterns.
