As we draw ever closer to the end of the 2021 NHL season, the Scotia North playoff teams seem ever more secure....

Toronto 99.99%
Winnipeg 99.96%
Edmonton 99.9%
Montreal 98.6%
Vancouver 1.0%
Calgary 0.6%
Ottawa 0.004%

What's your source for those numbers?

sportsclubstats

It's a bit of a weird site, they use different teams crests when identifying teams, but the numbers that they do provide are accurate.
Some sports haven't been updated from last season, the NBA for instance.
It does a lot of different sports.
There's another site that does (I think) just NHL playoff probabilities, I can't recall the name right now.
I'll link it if I recall, or find it.

Colorado looks to be huge favourites. Imagine Kadri hoisting the cup. Vetoing Calgary was a good move.

It will be interesting to see how Hall fits in with the Bruins. Please don't tell me he is a former MVP winner.

"Hall struggled to show his offensive acumen, collecting just 2 goals and 19 points through 37 regular season games for the cellar-dwelling Sabres."

I knew this would be the stinker game for the Leafs. Everyone riding a high after Jack Campbell's new record.

Calgary is fighting for a playoff spot. Damn! I was hoping the Leafs would beat them last night. There is definitely something wrong with their PP. A 4 minute PP produced nothing. The "high octane" offense produced only 2 goals against a 5th place team.

I would use google but Dart condemns it so does anyone know what the playoff format is for the semi finals.
Which Division plays which Division or is it seeded by regular season points?

I don't know but without googling it I'd say seeding according to points. I know that they made four divisions but I don't believe that they made two conferences.

So basically Montreal got lucky and got to beat up on Vancouver early making some think they were the best team in the entire league.
It will be Toronto’s turn to beat up on a weak Vancouver team this weekend. Most of the Canucks players say they’re no where near ready to start playing again.

At this point it may not matter much. Toronto likely to finish first and Vancouver likely to finish 6th.

1st round, maybe Toronto vs Montreal. Hopefully, Chariot, Price and Gallagher will be back by then.

Perhaps Dart should use google more. If it is indeed seeding in the semi's based on regular season points then it would certainly matter.

Google provides facts but it cannot provide someone with the ability to think logically or rationally even when in possession of those facts.

I know you guys love to navel gaze but the Toronto-Vancouver game is meaningless. It says right here that Toronto will finish 1st and Vancouver finish 5th although a loss by Vancouver might mean they eventually finish 6th (still out of the playoffs).

Toronto 99.99%
Winnipeg 99.96%
Edmonton 99.9%
Montreal 98.6%
Vancouver 1.0%
Calgary 0.6%
Ottawa 0.004%

That information is not accurate as of today.
Nowhere in that list does it indicate that the Maple Leafs will finish 1st and/or Vancouver 5th.
Those were playoff probabilities on the day the numbers were posted.
A 'McGill' 'graduate' should understand that.
