Might have been covid related as opposed to incel related. Wonder if Kim k will be fighting for his clemency in 20 years. I think life in prison is worse than death, having said that all death row inmates always seem to prefer to live even in prison.
Life in jail could be worse than the death penalty but the damage has been done...mass shootings for no reasonable reason are the worst.

It's very difficult to make that defence succeed.
He has to be literally psychotic and delusional - i.e. thinks he's fighting Satan's Lizard Demons - for the defence to be accepted. If he's driving from spa to spa and selecting Asian women to kill, no judge will accept that he was that level of mentally fucked up.
Short answer = he's going to the chair. Best his lawyer can do is plea deal him into a life sentence in return for nolo contendere.
Is there any evidence to suggest it was racially motivated or had to do with blaming Asians for covid? That's a nice narrative, but is it even true?

Police interview revealed the suspect said he has a sexual addiction and wanted to purge these places from temptation. So maybe more a religous motive?
Just saw a report on CNN where a Sherriff reported that the suspect said that he may have frequented the spas. There will be plenty of speculation as to motive but as he was captured, I am sure it will eventually be revealed, unlike the Vegas shooter who killed himself and left absolutely no reason or motive as to why he committed the mass murder.
