That article is hogwash and full of gibberish and embellishments like your posts. He listed one guy who mentioned taxes and also media scrutiny. You said earlier Crosby would pay 3x the tax, now he's paying 40% plus, more gibberish from you. Price, webber love it there, subban was devastated at being traded. The article said the players paid 49% of the income to taxes in Montreal, Crosby is paying 40% now. Players don't care about 10%, only the misinformed do, they play where theyre most comfortable.
Players don't care about 10% eh...do you know how much 10% is for a player who has a salary and endorsement deals in excess of 10 million...

Where did you get the 10%, you said he'd be paying 200% more?

They better get moving trading those two, their contracts expire at the end of the 2021-22 season.
There's also that pesky NMC in Malkin's contract to deal with, Letang has a limited NTC in his agreement.
Malkin turns 35 before next season will start, Letang 34 before this season ends.
Both have played their entire careers with the Penguins.

Funny you brought up Draft Schmaft, those are the words that popped into my head as I read this article....

Both Crosby and malkin are off to slow starts also. Does Pittsburgh owe them kobe Bryant type legacy, thank you for all you've done contracts, when they're not worth it? Especially Crosby who has been a bargain. Rutherford saw the situation and bolted.

I guess Brian Burke and Ron Hextall must be pretty stupid not to see the situation that Jim Rutherford did, as you suggested!

You don’t take being proven wrong very well...point after point, too easy winning a debate against you.

I didn’t call Burke/Hextall stupid, I was just showing how your Rutherford assumption was stupid.

I'm trying to mentor these guys, it's not easy to fix stupid.
Haha...how many incorrect statements did you make in this discussion, 7/8?

Let me break this to you, when I need a mentor it’ll be somebody that knows what they’re talking about it, and that isn’t you!

I'm trying to help you go from extreme stupidity to moderate stupidity. I'm not even charging you.

Crosby doesn't care about paying extra 10% in taxes? You DO NOT know this as fact.

Rutherford left because of the contract situation? You do not know this as fact.
You shouldn't be calling anyone stupid.

But it's ok for you to call others stupid.

Is it ok for me to call you arrogant, obnoxious hypocrite?

You suffer from SASS, severe acute stupidity syndrome. I never said Burke and hextall didn't know the situation, I said Rutherford didn't want to stick around to fix it and the 4 or 5 years it might take. Him and hextall are at different stages of their careers. Burke wasn't a good hire, he's past his due date.

You didn’t say that before...now you’re bailing from your previous stupid assumption.

You don’t know why Rutherford left...maybe it’s a health problem, maybe he was forced out...you’re also not qualified to make an absolute judgement on Brian Burke being a good hire...25 plus years in hockey management says he might have something to offer.

Yeah ok, its a health issue even though Rutherford said it wasn't, how would he know 🙄. He left because he's 71 and didn't want to start a rebuild only to leave 2 years in and someone else finish it if it wasn't their plan. Burke is an opportunist with a shaky record the last 10 years. Calgary were glad to see him go. You are exceeding your free mentor time, I will be charging soon.

Forced out yet Mario stunned lol, another great call lol.
