I've always had issues with fatigue since I was little, I suspect it was due to depression. As I got older, it became worse to the point where going to work was hard. I would have to take naps in the car. I suspect it is due to depression and social isolation (I have no close friends of family nearby). Also, I am currenty unemployed, and being idle has made things worse. This year was especially bad, and I have been sick almost every day with cold like symtoms.

I had blood work done many years ago, but nothing came up. I suspect it is more due to psychological stress, and COVID has really affected me mentally. Just the thought that I can't visit friends and family is really tough.

I am 45, and was wondering if it was somewhat normal to be sick and tired a lot. Have you noticed that this years was especially bad, and have you noticed that things have gotten worse as you got older?

I posted a thread not too long, but it was somewhat ignored. Being tired constantly is a pretty good sign your vitamin/mineral balance is off.

Watch videos in that thread. Perhaps it'll make sense to you.

Thanks, I suspected that too, and hence I was taking multivitamins, but they didnt' seem to help. I just bought some Centrum meant to boost the immune system, but I don't know if it's working.

My sister was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, and I suspect I could have that, although it is not common in males. I hope to get tested.

The other thing is that I am pretty sure I have sleep apnea, and that could be triggering my poor immune system and why I get sick.

But I feel that depression is a main factor because when I am happy, the symtoms seem to disappear. But it may be just due to temporary high that masks the symptoms, and this effect does not last long.

Do yourself a favour and watch all 3 videos from the post.
Multivitamins are ok, but you're not getting an adequate doses of very needed vitamins.
I've been constantly tired and aching before, but not anymore, not for a long time.

I have been in the exact same situation as original poster except my diet /vitamin/minerals was 100%. It turned out to be due social isolation (unemployed, living alone, no life). I moved in with my brother and everything became normal again. I no longer feel tired except my diet is now crap.

I am low on iron and have been my whole life


But for the past 3 years i have been taking doctor perscribed iron supplements and they have helped a ton

I also have been more into healthy eating and taking other daily supplements and all of that has allowed me not to feel so tired anymore and to function more easily

Being unemployed and socially isolated would kind of be the easy diagnosis. I think a Mc.Job would be preferable to nothing. Any job that get you to interact with people in a non threatening way would help I should think. There are jobs that are not too strenuous or hateful that don't involve freezing your ass off which maybe don't pay a king's ransom. But a steady paycheque can give you something to look forward to every couple of weeks. Get your into a pleasant routine. Help you to consider moderate reachable goals.

To answer your question, no its not normal to feel sick and tired every day.

Go see Dr. Hui. He will get to the source of your problem and get you healed back to 100%.

Did you check your thyroid? About 10% of the population take Cyntroid hormone to make their thyroid function properly. Constant fatigue is one the main symptom.

Magnesium and other vitamin and mineral deficiencies are very real and causes problems, in your self assessment do you think your diet is poor and needs to be cleaned up?

No routine, schedule or daily rituals can put you in an awful state of mind.
Developing some habit can help alleviate stress, especially getting to sleep and getting up at a certain hour that you make a good effort to always stick to helps.
It's difficult; but for some, literally doing anything is better than letting time pass and overthinking and letting the anxiety creep upon you.

Are you always online? The great problem of being in a connected world is that constant stimulator is so easy with new novel information.
You can always change directions so quickly, we really aren't meant to be exposed to this. In normal conversation this isn't supposed to happen, unless you are talking to someone with ADHD.

I've notice just unplugging and reading a book, be it non-fiction to learn something you're interested you train yourself helps alleviates this stress.
So does a good novel or story.

The news is bad too, because it relies on always exposing you to the negative. COVID, COVID, COVID it's fucking boring realistically but there is always a wanting to learn the new numbers

Or learn to relax, some people just always need to be busy and don't know how to do nothing without worry.

Speaking of books I found this book "The Happiness Advantage" to have some interesting things to think about regarding mental health, and positive psychology.
Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin recommended it in one of his biographies.


Okay; I'm a certified TERB doctor so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I really hope things start to get better.

There is a post above shows doc berry that's a start. I had started with reducing my carbs pasta rice grains potatoes noticed energy increase somewhat. Then followed a dirty keto, then I reduced carbs as in vegetables and resent have done carnivore. I have sleep apnea, diabetic, high blood pressure. I have been doing this and blood sugar was 10.9 down to 5.6, blood pressure down significantly and my sleep apnea events per hour are down. I still need to work at it though is work in progress. I also go for a 10 min walk when I get home to reduce my stress.


But you need to start and see what works for you.
By the way my Doc was no help!

Doctors are absolutely useless. One doctor told me I get sick all the time because I work with kids. He then gave me antibiotics and sent me home.

Yup they give you medication because they can't write a prescription for real food no kick back's if they tell you to go to metro and pick up a steak or other real food. They want us to walk around like zombies.

With so little sunlight, it's difficult not to feel like a pos this time of year. And I eat real food most of the time.

I've been working from home for about four years now but when late Nov and those dead of winter months roll around, this is how I feel.
