As I grew to adulthood, Gilligan's Island became less funny. I felt sorry for Skipper and Little Buddy not being able to express their man love. Why have vertical cots with Gilligan constantly landing on Skipper's gut. They had only Ginger to bang, Mary Ann was getting franked by The Professor. Life was tough on the island for them.

I remember when chch was famous for showing live hockey games of the Hamilton Junior Red Wings was a farm team of the Detroit Rd Wings playing against teams including the Toronto Marlies that was the Toronto Maple Leafs farm team. Also in that league were the Montreal Jr. Canadians and other teams connected with NHL teams. Best hockey ever.
St. Catherines Black Hawks - Chicago
Oshawa Generals - Boston Bruins
Kitchener Rangers - New York
Kingston Canadiens - Montreal

I remember too.

Fun fact about Hogan's Heroes (well, maybe not fun but it's a fact.) Werner Klemperer played Colonel Klink. His background was Jewish and his family left Germany for the USA soon after Hitler came to power, but some of his family did die in the Holocaust. Apparently Klink wasn't originally supposed to be such an inept bungler as the series ended up depicting him - that was supposed to be reserved for Schultz - but when Klemperer (who'd had a pretty busy career in TV and movies in secondary roles and was much better known than Bob Crane, who played Hogan) was offered the part he agreed to take it only on the condition that Klink had to be a complete bungler. He refused to take the part if Klink was in any way depicted as a serious Nazi and only on the condition that Klink would never be able to get the better of Hogan. He wanted the Germans depicted only as fools. He got his way.
And, albeit far too late, so did we all.

Peterborough Petes-Montreal
Niagara Falls Flyers-Boston
The period I referenced was the '60s.

Bobby Orr played for the Oshawa Generals from ''63 - '65, the Boston Bruins Jr. affiliate.

You are correct about the Petes being the Montreal Canadiens Jr. affiliate in Ontario during the '60's and early '70s. Kingston was from '72 onwards.

Derek Sanderson was on the Niagara Falls Flyers before becoming Orr's teammate in Boston.
The Petes were formed in '56. I seem to recall that they were called the TPT's (a trucking company?) before changing to the Petes.

Montreal and Boston had two teams each in the OHL. Pretty sure it was an 8 team league.

Did you know that Richard Anderson who played Oscar Goldman is the only actor to have appeared on 2 tv shows (The Six million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman) that aired at the same time?
I don't know... maybe on a drama series? The casts of Petticoat Junction and Green Acres crisscrossed on each others' programs all the time. Frank Cady in particular played on just about, if not every episode of both series as the same character (Sam Drucker the shop keeper).

I remember...they would be showed live on Thursday nights and then replayed on Sunday morning...from the Mountain Arena.
Actually the Hamilton Red Wings played out of the old Hamilton Forum on Barton st. I saw many games there as a kid as well as roller derby and wrestling.

Fincups did play at the old Forum until they tore it down. They then moved to the Mountain arena. Memorial Cup champs while they played at the Forum.

Can’t believe Jack Klugman was only 49 on the Odd Couple in 1971. Looks older.

Also, speaking of Odd Couple, I’m laughing thinking Felix is very similar to the Sheldon character in BBT in a lot of ways.
