How about the Imperial Six theatre before it was cut in half.
Had a friend who worked there as an usher in the mid 70's , he'd let me in for free, it was a big deal for a minor to watch "restricted to 18 years or older" movies!

Remember when malls and almost every retail store were closed on Sundays?!
Wasn't it an old city bylaw that they weren't allowed to open?
It was Ontario wide actually and it took until the 90s to get rid of that dumb law. One of the stores that got in a lot of trouble for defiantly opening on Sunday at the time was Paul Magder Furs on Spadina. He went bankrupt fighting the province.

I think the building is now a weed store.

I think they only got closed St Huberts recently in the last couple years. There was one in Etobicoke near the queensway and one at avenue and Lawrence by Havergal.

St Hubert's been gone for a while. The location at Queensway was the first in Ontario before the brand left Ontario. It was called The Q or Queensway Grill for a while, but also closed recently. I went there for breakfast regularly and the owner is a very nice guy and cared for his workers.

I think there was a St Hubert in the Rexdale Boulevard and Highway 27 area too.

How about Club OV’s that was on the Queensway.

It appeared in the movie “Pushing Tin” with Angelina Jolie and few other folks I can’t remember.

Also gone.

This takes me back to when I was so in love with a beautiful young woman in the early 90's who I knew from university. She had a cramped basement apartment in a house in the Beaches that I could barely stand up in and we would order from here and then head back to her tiny cellar and go at it all night long. I have one of those vivid memories, the kind that you will never forget, of in her in see thru lingerie bounding out of the bathroom and diving onto the bed. I can still picture her in my mind's eye, the curves of her body, her nipples, her sex, hell, I can even still smell her all these years later. She still haunts me.

It was marvelous (and I'm not talking about the food, that was quite unremarkable).

There was also a Mr Pong’s Chinese food restaurant downtown in the entertainment district and also in the Phoenix nightclub for a while, but I think they got busted for something.

Molson Brewery plant just before the Princes Gate on Fleet st.

You could rent NHL playoff films from there in the days before VCRs
